Things I liked was the comfort of the bed and pillows and I loved the view. Didn’t like that the spa tub didn’t work, the room was very rusty and out dated with chipping, discolor, and rusting. Towels and washcloths were limited.

At evening our room smelled of marijuana. We called the front desk and they sent up a security guard, who could not believe how strong it was. They ultimately did nothing about the smell. At 4:20 in the morning the people in the neighboring room were banging on the door asking if their pizza had been delivered to our room. Needless to say we checked out the next morning cutting our trip two days short.

I would highly recommend NOT staying at this hotel. There were several things wrong, some we could get past and some we could not. First off the door to room 406 did not work properly. You had to pull it to you for the key to unlock it. Then it had to be slammed shut. The top lock inside the door was broken. The head board that was suppose to be attached to the wall was crooked and falling off, we had to take it off so it wouldn’t fall on us. The room constantly smelled of weed. During the middle of the night I was greeted by the biggest cockroach I have honestly ever seen in my life. I tried the kill it but it ran under the stove. It later visited my husband in the bathroom where he was able to kill it. There is no beach access because they are remodeling the sea wall which is fine but there was large equipment all over the pool/patio area. Thankfully we only stayed 1 night, left out early that morning, and the door would not shut at all by that point.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the condition of the room. It was not clean at all – there was visible dirt in several areas, and the bathroom was especially bad. It hadn't been cleaned properly, with grime around the sink and shower, and there were exposed cables in the room, which felt unsafe and unprofessional. This was not the standard I expected.

New furniture and carpet was a plus. The staff was extremely kind and friendly. The ocean and pool view with balcony was wonderful. The walls and doors were thin, and the neighbors were noisy. It was a bargain price but you pay for it with sleepless nights.

While it was ok at the best it was way overpriced on the weekends. The doors were unsafe. We had to call and have maintenance come to open and close the doors. One day arrived back and the door was wide open. No hot breakfast. No milk for the cereal 2 days. No bananas 2 days No wash clothes the first day. No housekeeping except to bring clean towels. I paid the deposit for all 4 rooms. I still have not received the deposits credited to my credit card. They credited it to the other three rooms when paying on arrival. The billing was so confusing and I am still waiting for them to reimburse my credit card. We were not told we would have to pay a $50 security deposit and it would be credited at the end of our stay. Still no credits on credit cards. People were living there. It was noisy and had to call front desk 3 times for people fighting. One room was rented out to young adults partying. No satisfied at all.

I didn’t like anything in this property,and it’s not a cheap hotel either, but everything in the room was very dirty and rusty, even the tiles in the bathroom are falling from the walls,the tv didn’t work, the paint on the walls from the little kitchenette is tearing up bad and there was no access to the beach, the property need mayor upgrades and maintenance for the amount of money they charge for the rooms, apparently the pictures that show on the website are from when the property was built years ago

absolutely nothing very displeased. the pictures on site do not match the rooms that were offered. not pleasant at all. property was unkept regardless of the Hurricanes. we had to sign a disclaimer understanding they where under renovation. and if we decided to leave their were no refunds. What kind of people does this. the only renovation i saw was a pool. and it did nothing for the actual run down facility at El Caribe Thumbs down.
