One of My Best Trips

The Hardrock was amazing. I loved the fact that they were very welcoming and helpful. The view was beautiful. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the rooms are alot bigger on this floor. The rooms were cleaned everyday and they made sure they stayed on top of cleanliness. The only downside is parking. believe for the price you pay in resort fees and room cost overall parking should be free or at a more reasonable price like maybe $10 a day. Valet parking should remain the same because its a luxury

Pros: The hotel is decorated like its name, Hard Rock Hotel. The lobby is impressive. The bellboy service is a nice upgrade from the typical hotel in Daytona. The rooms are nice with upgraded bathrooms. It’s right on the beach. It’s great to have a coffee bar and a restaurant right there. The staff, for the most part, is friendly. It has a nice pool with bar service, another plus (even though the bar girl asks every time she passes if you want something!). There are two hot tubs. Towels are provided at no charge. And instead of a room key, we were given a comfortable wristband, which made it so easy to unlock doors. They have a spa, which we almost used for massages, but decided not to. The staff at the restaurant and spa were friendly. Cons: Expensive stay. There is a $25 charge per day just to park your car across the street in an unprotected lot. The other alternative is $40 per day valet service (plus tip each time you get your car). The water pressure is nonexistent in the bathroom sink. They are aware of it, but no fix. The second morning we were there, the silent fire alarm went off as a test, waking us up to a blinding flashing light (and I mean blinding). It went off for an hour. I had to leave the room because flashing lights can give me migraines. The girl (Ely) at the front desk was apologetic when I went down to ask how long it would last…but was not friendly at checkout (she remembered I had complained). Kind of left a bad vibe on leaving.

All the servers at the restaurant and the pool side girls were amazing and so friendly !!! Valet is expensive but the guys out there were awesome and friendly . Definitely hustled even out there in the heat and rain days

Do not recommend Hard Rock

Hard Rock has a charge for EVERY thing and on top of the charge you will have an 18% tip! It’s absolutely ridiculous and I was hit with a 179 resort fee PLUS, a 25 dollar per day for parking and a 300 deposit that is still a “hold” on my account and we left yesterday morning!!!! Parking was awful, never spaces and the system you have to use NEVER works. I was almost hit trying to turn in because of the line of cars that were unable to use the parking readers during a hard rain. I am def not happy with the “hidden fees” with this resort.. The pool was dirty with sand and NO live entertainment on the outdoor stage as advertised.. I only seen one band the entire time we were there and it was at the restaurant, we left a day early! I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, Sorry. It ruined our annual family vacay ☹️

Self-parking was a pain since it's across the street and the room key didn't work to open it so had to wait for someone to open and then when we got into the room, the sofa smelled of pee so that was avoided and then when we left the next day and turned the room keys in, we didn't realize that was needed to open the gate to get out of the parking lot.

Hotel and staff was nice but a lot of hidden fees that Expedia and the hotel doesn’t tell you about. Parking is 25 bucks a night as an example. It’s just alittle shady how they do it too. They hold a couple hundred bucks from your account when you get there but then also take out the fees, parking , taxes directly out of your account. And this is after the rooms are paid for. If you go just make sure you have an extra 500 bucks in your account between holds and what they direct charge you. Just wasn’t aware of everything they take out of your account AFTER the rooms are paid for.
