The room door, thick steel I think, wouldn’t open. We got it open but then, to close it, it had to be slammed. Really slammed. Or it was not locked. Found a large cockroach just past the lobby. Died in my arms. Not really but it had just died. The poll was open, as was the jacuzzi. The was beach access with room key. Unfortunately, the key did not work to return. Called the hotel, was told someone would come out. They did and said the battery on the gate was dead. Would send someone to change it. They did something. We went out. Couldn’t get back in. But, we had already used the free beach access, two doors over. Clean, except the one amigo near the lobby. Long I know but it is probably a good place. The hurricane caused a lot of crap. Just fix the door.

Great property overall. Good updates to the property. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice to have free parking. The only problem we ran into was the door to our porch was hard to open. But we let the staff know upon checkout (we were only there one night, so didn’t report sooner).

Just OK if you are tight on money.
This is an older building. The shower has a button you lift to activate the shower. This button was not easy to lift it was bound up and more water came out of the tap than the showerhead, making you have to stand in your own dirty shower water. The entry door rubbed on the frame and you had to really pull hard to make sure it shut correctly. The room had a strong musty odor. It was not bad for the price but we will not be staying here again.

The Nautilus is a very nice hotel with reasonable rates. We had an oceanfront room, and spent a lot of time on the balcony because of the weather. Going on vacation during hurricane season isn't recommended, but The Nautilus certainly is!

Great hotel. Comfy beds, excellent staff. I like the coffee bar is open till 11am. We go on vacation to sleep in, not to be up and out early. They accommodate that. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely Awesome stay for us
9th floor. Beautiful views! Way better than expected!! We were comfy, cozy, we cooked, and just hung out at the pool and beach all day. We were only going to stay 1 night and head back home, but ended up staying for 3. It was just soooo relaxing and so beautiful we weren't ready to leave yet. Also, the staff was pretty good too. But, Sylvania greeted us even when she wasnt working and was super sweet! And she didnt hesitate when I bothered her to ask for replacement towels lol. Overall, we had an excellent experience! We live in Florida and this was Just pre Helene and then Milton- so hopefully All is Well there as we're planning a trip back with the fam. This is going to be our new spot! If you're feeling iffy about booking here, just do it, it shouldnt disappoint! The view, the price point and proximity to the beach are all more than worth it. The beds were comfy, they had the essentials we needed to cook our meals (pots, pans, strainer, spoons, forks, plates and cups) and our room was clean and smelled clean. I didnt get the ickies and the room didnt have that weird damp smell hotels have, yk that smell 😳 And when we first walked up to the room (first day) you could actually smell the cleaner/bleach the ladies were using and we actually saw them cleaning!!! So that made it even better. I wish I could have gotten their names too, but I didnt see them anymore after that. But SHOUTOUT to them because thats not easy work. When we go back, Im finding them & tipping them too ❤

Very quiet and clean hotel with plenty of parking. This was the fastest check n I've ever experienced. The room was more that what I was expecting with the great view of the ocean. I will definitely be returning.

The room was clean and comfortable with excellent views of the ocean, and it's always very nice to have a full size fridge. Parking is always a top concern for me but there was plenty of convenient space. There was great beach access, and restaurants and shopping with a 5-10 minute drive. The only downside was the construction noise in the area, but overall it was a nice stay for sure. 4/5 would stay again!
