Pot smokers paradise!
If you are not a pot smoker DON’T stay here! The hallway smells like pot. The elevator smells like pot. The balcony smells like pot….you cannot get away from it! I will never stay in this hotel again. The room was run down but clean. The hallway and elevators were NOT clean.

The bottom floor had previously flooded. The mattress had bugs (live ones) and mold/mildew on mattress with a dirty pad. Management was nice and gave us another room but TV was not working. Maintenance brought in an extension cord so we could watch football. No compensation was given.

Employees were very professional and courteous. The elevators were dirty and wore thin.See floors. The bathroom floors with tile grout were filthy. An attempt to paint some walls was a joke. The TV had about 19 channels, none popular. The price for such a run down facility were way above the value rendered. Owners need to put some rent money back into their facility. Total Hotel is run down!

This is our second stay at this hotel and we would stay again if we come back to Daytona Beach. It’s walkable to several souvenir shops and restaurants. The size and cleanliness of the room was more than adequate.

German Roaches!!!!
I used to stay here for year after year until this last trip and checking two rooms that both had German roaches in them!!!! Sadly , I will not be coming back here!!! if you read other reviews, there is other people complaining about the roaches too. If you’re not from the south, German roaches are horrible to get. I will miss this place but I don’t do bugs!!!!!! Whomever has taken over. has just let this place go straight downhill!!

A Nice Visit at Tropical Winds
A return trip for me. The room was clean and comfortable and has been renovated. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The cafe is simple and the breakfast was good. Corridors and elevators are a bit dated. I recommend if you don’t need a 5-star.
