This property was nice in a decent area, and the swimming pool was AMAZING for an indoor pool at a hotel! The rooms themselves were out of date, and needed some maintenance TLC. They seemed clean, but dingy. Nice that it had a restaurant onsite. The breakfast room was lacking. We had to ditch for Starbucks with a hot sandwich.

This property is way overdue for a remodel. Rooms and common areas are filthy. Fridge was moldy and made a clicking noise all night. I asked to have the fridge looked at. Ended up unplugging it on night two so I could sleep. Lazy river was FREEZING, to the point no one could use it. None of the exterior doors required key entry and were never locked. Mouse traps in the stairwells. Gym has been turned into a salon and moved to room 106. You have to ask the front desk for a key to get into the “gym.”The list goes on. Don’t let the updated exterior fool you. I would NOT recommend this property.

Musty, falling apart hotel. Stinks of mold in the common areas and the room. The gym was a joke so I found a local park around the corner for a long walk, thank goodness. Not many options in Brookings so I had to stay for my two day trip.

The hotel didnt feel clean at all, splatters on the wall/door, no mattress protector on the bed, small bug (not BB) on the mattress and the AC wasn't working. Wasn't great...not terrible but not great.

I had the handicap room. The room was roomy and clean. The price was good. Staff were friendly. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom had a bad smell in it so I decided not to shower. The breakfast was good, a continental breakfast (cereal, apples, donuts, toast, etc., no eggs and bacon).

The rooms were very dirty. Our air conditioning did not work. The toilet did not flush. The lazy river was full of green algae, and it was gross. The freezer in the refrigerator was disgusting.

We were told to park in the back of the property near where the closest entrance would be for our room. Both parking lot lights were out, so we parked further away to feel our car would be safe. Also, no elevators to be found which was an inconvenience.
