Ok overall
The hotel itself fine. Pool was clean and the hot tub was hot. The breakfast sucked! English muffins and orange juice was all that I had.

We loved that the owners are working hard to update this motel. They have made fun and cute decor changes to modernize it and make it feel very homey. The manager and staff were very friendly and the room was spotless.

They are discontinuing hot breakfast which is alway a nice thing to wake up to. No coffee maker in room . There isn’t much to dislike, but for the money I expected more.

We booked 2 rooms. One room had a revolting smell as soon as we walked in. We opened the window and turned on the extractor but it made no difference. After 10 minutes we went back to reception, the member of staff came up and immediately agreed that the smell was awful. He gave us a different room but there was no apology, in fact the only comment he made was "it would have been easier if you had reported it as soon as you opened the door" (apparently 10 minutes was too long to wait!!). How the housekeeping staff managed to leave the room smelling like this indicates that they care little about cleanliness.

It was a nice hotel. The pool was clean and warm-- my kids loved playing in it. The beds and bathroom were clean. The noise of traffic from the freeway was really loud.
