Very convenient to Fibriskie Point, one of the best lookout spots in Death Valley. Nice property. Check was tedious, as there was only one person to check in about a dozen guests who were waiting around. The woman at the desk also said, "If you want a greasy meal, go to the Ice Cream shop." That's not the way I would market an amenity. We enjoyed the Last Kind Words Saloon. The food was outstanding. The pool area is very nice and clean. Overall A+ facility.

We loved our stay at The Ranch, it was heavenly. We were there for 2 nights and could have stayed for much much longer. The facilities are excellent, plenty of food options, refreshing pool, and the cottage rooms are so charming. A very relaxong place to be with breathtaking views.

The Ranch at Death Valley is a really fun place. We didn’t know what to expect, but the place has a very laid back, western vibe and is has an ice cream parlor, a saloon style restaurant, a small coffee shop and a general store with some upscale clothes and food items. The rooms are a little tired, but they are clean. The pool was a treat - spring-fed and 85 degrees. There is also an outdoor venue with music and tables that serves hamburgers for lunch. One thing that stood out was that the staff was very pleasant and friendly - no one was grumpy or annoyed at being asked questions. The employees really seemed to love working there - especially at the front desk and the restaurant. If I go again, I’d probably stay at the sister hotel, The Inn at DV, which is a little more sophisticated and geared toward couples - although it doesn’t offer as many amenties. Either one offers a pleasant stay with plenty of things to do and eat.

This property has lost its way in the world...old, without amenities, untrained staff, and poor economic policies. Expedia sells and all included package: no add ons by the facility. BUT I was charged $20/per day for something...I don't know what that something was but I certainly didn't use it and will report it to Visa when I get my monthly invoice.

The Ranch was really nice and is well maintained. The bed and pillows we’re comfortable and their generous with their shampoo and conditioners. The downside their food in their general store we’re really pricey. We didn’t go to their breakfast and dinner since everything is expensive. I just wish we brought our own food before we got there.
This is Zibriskie point about 20 minutes drive from the ranch. Make sure u see the sunrise it’s spectacular

The Ranch and Inn are sister properties. No breakfast at the Ranch, but was good at the Inn. Most staff were friendly and helpful. Barista and receptionist at the Inn were not. Enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed in a standard room, 801. It was right across the hallway from vending and ice. Vending machine and water bottle fountain were both out of order. There was a loud door outside the room and everyone going in and out would let it slam, waking us every time. Room was ok. Clean but dated. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was pretty dismal. Empty dishes. Eggs were dried out. Toast was edible! lol! The saloon restaurant had a decent tasting, yet overpriced ($27) burger and fries. The ice cream shop was cute and good.

Hotel is located in beautiful spot. My comments are, no microwave in the room, no safety bar in the shower, the carpet looks like it could use a shampoo. But. I loved the ceiling fan and the patio. Beautiful views all around. The pool is very nice
