We did the pre check in and it was super simple! When we got to the property the staff was smiling and helpful. All we needed to do was get our room keys! While the property is older it was very clean and seemed to be reasonably maintained. Our room had been updated with nice newer carpet and furniture. The only negative things I noticed were a worn part of the door frame (as if someone left their dog unattended) and the bathtub was stained... but even with that it was very clean and we had no issues. We got supper from the diner across the street (it was yummy). The beds and pillows were comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and was nice and warm. The occupancy was pretty high, but we did hear any noises in our room. Long story short... it was a pleasant stay for a quick one night on a long road trip. We will definitely stay again when we are passing through!

While we understand most hotels have strict cancellation policies, no policy should be placed above a guest's safety. Upon checking in on 5/13/26, my colleague and I entered our rooms and found broken deadbolts, door frames, electrical sockets, and flooring. While we did enter our rooms, we did not use them in any way, shape, or form. We immediately exited our rooms and the property upon discovering the unsafe conditions. The reservation was booked via Hotels.com. Twice, their support team reached out to the property in an effort to get resolution. Each time, the hotel refused to provide any refund. It is hard to understand how the Hotels.com platform allows a property in this condition to list rooms. It put's the safety of platform users at risk.

Breakfast was fresh, but just okay in taste. Parking was great, being right in fron of your room on the same level. The bed was extremely comfortable, but the coolest thing was the picture above it -- a grouping of rock pools, which are types of vernal pools. What was so cool about that? I was staying at the hotel for an event called Vernal Poolooza, which was a conference centered around wetlands......especially vernal pools.
