The access to the seafront should be better explained as we thought that the hotel is situated about 300 meters from the beach,which is wrong, walking or by car it is much farther away. The garden side means the main road noice. Sea view only from the rooms at 3rd floor

This was a really lovely and reasonable option. We enjoyed our Ocean View and in Room coffee service. The restaurant is charming and the food was delicious and very well priced. The entire facility was sparkling clean. We will definitely return.

A couple of things about the property bothered us: A $10 per night parking fee was added to my bill. I did not expect to have to pay an extra parking fee. This should have been included in the TOTAL EXPEDIA FEE that was quoted! Entering and exiting the facility using our vehicle was kind of inconvenient. The entry was very hard. You had to enter off the road with no turn lane and then go down a hill and over a speed pump that you can’t see from the road. All of this while trying to get out of the way of traffic coming from behind, since there is no turn lane. The exit was also a problem. Drive up onto the sidewalk and try to see down the road so that you can enter the road safely. My last comment regarding vehicle use is that if you want to drive to Del Mar you have to turn right exiting the facility and then make a U-Turn down the road to head back towards Del Mar. This was a small problem; however, I noticed that I only saw this problem at this hotel. Other than that, the stay went well.

Very impressive hotel remodel. The room was clean and included a comfortable chair and footstool in addition to a desk chair. The bed was very comfortable. Our room included a sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, safe, and ironing board/iron. The bathroom remodel was beautiful with a glass enclosed tile shower and upscale shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Room temperature controls were individualized and the heating and air conditioning were quiet. There was a balcony with table and chairs (we didn’t get to enjoy these because of rain, but the balcony afforded an ocean view. The cafe was reasonably priced and the food was surprisingly good. In addition, there are many restaurants with easy walking distance. We were impressed with the hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Fox News blocked on TV

We enjoyed the ocean view and the room was very nice. However, we have one complaint. On the TV, we were unable to watch the two Fox channels - Fox News and Fox Business. These two channels showed up on the guide, but when we clicked on the stations, we saw other channels instead of the Fox channels that were supposed to be there. This did not happen with any other channels, so it seems the Fox channels were blocked, which is suspicious. The front desk said "we are having problems with the Fox channels" and a tech sent to our room said he'd have to ask the provider to fix it, but it was not fixed. Are people who watch Fox news not welcome to stay at your hotel?
