This is an old motel. It shows its age but is clean. the staff is very nice and accommodating. It was quiet; the beds comfortable. PERFECT location to Denali entrance as it is just a few miles towards Healy.

Really wanted to like this property but unfortunately missed the mark. It was an affordable option with no frills. The property does have 2 building, a 2 story with the office and another single story building with a few rooms. We were in the single story side and it was definitely an old nursing home. Room was clean and average size, okay for 2. But the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The breakfast bowl provided, in room, everyday was a nice thought but the go-yurts and capri suns were things we would never eat but felt guilty to waste.

Overall this place is very overpriced, there is nothing special about it, $200/nt should get you a much nicer place! We were in the building across from the office, Coffee doesn’t show up until later in the morning. Upon check in the desk clerk pushed the black diamond resort, didn’t mention the diner next door for breakfast or the Wi-Fi info. Bed was uncomfortable. I would not recommend.

Visiting Denali
Comfortable place to stay while visiting Denali. Easy to get to the road to the park. Mattress seemed a bit worn but slept alright. Satellite dish worked fine the first night in good weather, but unusable the next with light to moderate rain. Room had a fridge and micro which was very much appreciated. Basic breakfast available which was also nice to have. Would stay there again if visiting.

The gentleman at the check-in desk was easy to talk to, and I was surprised to find out that we had breakfast in our refrigerator in our room for the morning upon our arrival. We had boiled eggs, yogurt, and granola bars, and the gentleman also let me know that there is instant oatmeal available at the front desk as well, which was out in the morning for our use. Yes, it’s an older hotel but we really thought it was charming.

The hotel was OK for a one night stay on the way to Fairbanks. However, they GPS took us to the wrong place and had to call to get directions. The room is tired, looking and in need of upgrades the breakfast is geared towards children and his left in the refrigerator. They need more people on the front desk as I had to wait a long time While they were on the phone sorting out some problems the mattress could be better also.
