Service was terrible, staff was rude. The property lost power for about 5 hours which was not their fault since it was a widespread outage, but the staff handled it poorly. If you cannot be polite, courteous and helpful, then you should probably not be in a customer-facing role.
Beautiful property. Rooms are clean and with lots of light. Good size rooms too. Amazing views and worth every penny when you get to see the Denali mountain ranges every day ! Lovely property. Will definitely recommend and visit next time!

Unfortunately there was someone in our room when we checked in. I felt unsafe being asked to re enter the room to identify the person staying in the room that we booked. Nothing was comped or even addressed when we expressed concerns
Great place all around. You can e see Mt McKinley from the deck. Great staff, dining options…

The area around the property is beautiful. The main dining/reception area is gorgeous. This property is in between Talkeetna (~approx 1 hr by car or shuttle ) and Denali national park (~approx 2 hrs by car or bus) so if you stay here your options are limited.
The lodge rooms itself were dated and the rooms were not very clean. The food was surer expensive, tasteless and the service was below par at best.
This property serves the cruise ship passengers who opt for land excursions so it is meant for a certain type of people who have no choice. If you are driving and have a choice there are far better options in Talkeetna or just outside Denali national park.
stayed for only one night - just enough space for 4.. good service including taking the baggage to our room.

Our stay was just ok. The property is very isolated, and you only have a very small chance of seeing Mt. McKinley from here. The pros: restaurants on site, fire pits and s’mores. The cons: very loud in our room. We heard more noises here than any other hotel we’ve ever stayed at. It is very outdated.
My room was double booked and so, while I was taking a bath and alone in the room, another couple came into the room. When the issue was resolved, the front desk accidentally de-activated my key.

We had 2 nights of reservations there, one night on our way to Denali National Park and one night on the way back. It was a good stay on the way there, however the lodge cancelled our reservation on the way back. Their Denali lodge had lost power due to fires in the region so they transferred the Princess Cruises clients back to this lodge and they got priority over regular people like us that had a reservation that they had paid for in advance. I have never had accommodations cancel my reservation, and this happened the day of, on July 3rd, one of the busiest days in Alaska. We had to drive an extra 100 miles to find a hotel, with 2 young kids it felt terrible. I am not one to write bad reviews but I find it unacceptable to cancel someone's reservations because you prioritizes others. Be ware if you are not on a Proncess Cruise.
I am from AK. I brought a friend to see Denali. I chose this Property because it gives the best view of the entire range. Great for photographers. The grounds are perfect for a family with treehouses and kid friendly area’s. All of the staff were friendly from the arrival to checking out. Restaurants all wonderful. Very surprised how inexpensive they were. Will stay here again. So pleased it was a great experience for her things I want to do list. Checked!
