Very Good

Very nice hotel with a shopping area and restaurants right onsite. Local shopping area and restaurants are across the street. Walkway along the river is nice and there are sitting areas to view the river and mountains. Only downside is that there is no air conditioning and our room was too warm. We had to open the window and then it was noisy.
Rooms are nice, but small. Bed is firm with nice pillows. Food at resort is average and overpriced. There is better food at the surrounding local restaurants (tako cantina is one place). Customer service and location is great. There are not a ton of options in the area and if you don’t book at least six months in advance. It’s fine and nice just overpriced.

No soundproofing between rooms. Was woken early both mornings by neighbours leaving their rooms extremely early with bags and a lot of noise.
Bathroom outdated.
Power cut for 5 hours on our first night was not great even though the resort provided food and toilets.
Apparently this is not uncommon so generators would be a good idea.
Otherwise pleasant and the food at the King Salmon restaurant was excellent.
Great staff. Very professional, courteous and efficient. Unfortunately the rooms, although clean and comfortable do not have chest of drawers, microwaves or refrigerators. For the price of the rooms, these SHOULD be included.
The food in the onsite restaurants was fantastic as well as the wait-staff.
The parking was awful. I do NOT like parking my vehicle on the side of a major highway.
The grounds are beautiful. The gift shops are awesome.
Could have been better. Had to call to get towels 2nd day stay.

All power to the hotel, shops, restaurants, no water due to power outage. There should have been emergency backup electricity. No one could use toilets, no lights, no power; NO ONE FROM ADMINISTRATION INFORMED THE GUESTS, we were all LEFT IN THE DARK NOT INFORMED. 1. No redundancy and power no redundancy in backup generations. 2. Poor planning no one was informed of the power outage. A severe lack in operation management. How to get rid of English disappear

Alaska is a beautiful place!
Was good overall. Breakfast on site was mediocre at best and over priced (king Salmon restaurant). Hair in shower, trash, debris etc on bathroom floor, toilet dirty.
At least convenient to park and that was a terrific visit! Nice location, friendly staff, stores on site, and most importantly was a safe place to stay.
When we booked this (and 2 other Princess lodge stops), I didn’t realize it was tied to the cruise line (and land ‘cruise). We liked it, and was definitley more modern than the other options in the area. Rooms were nice. Drawback was no parking close to your room and no fridge/microwave. A bit warm at first since no ac and blinds were open to sun all day. Would benefit from a few activities on site (ie corn home or horse shoes like some of the other lodges have).
