Angie and Charly could not have been more welcoming, The position was spectacular overlooking the valley set in a lovely garden, The rooms very tastefully decorated with large proportions.
If in the area again we would definitely stay again.
A fantastic stay at this hidden gem of a beautiful country house with fantastic views and very pleasant and friendly hosts, Angie and Charlie, Large beautiful vintage decor rooms with huge breakfast choice. Highly recommend
I was travelling with my husband for just 1 night for work purposes. When we arrived we were greeted with such kindness.
The property is tucked away in a beautiful location with stunning views. Our room was exceptionally clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the hosts were very attentive.
The only downside was we wasn't staying longer! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this little gem.
Fantastic stay at Castle house, beautiful property and gardens with the most comfy bed!

Enjoyed our stay here very much. Owners and location are great. Rooms are clean and large. Breakfast was made to order and excellent. Will return.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again in the future.
Travelling alone, I had the Stanley room entirely to myself and it was pure bliss. The photos do not do this hotel justice; I would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone travelling in the area and can honestly say the bed was the comfiest that I’ve slept in.
Breakfast was cooked to order, with high quality preserves, pastries and branded cereals laid out for self service. A coffee machine was on hand to make your own drinks or pots of tea were brewed on request.
I genuinely enjoyed my two nights there whilst attending a local wedding and thank the owners for a lovely stay.
I was warmly received, the room was spacious, warm and very well-appointed, and the hosts were so welcoming.Location looking out onto the hills is spectacular.A great place to stay.
Under-floor heating in the bathroom provided soft lighting from therein all day and night.
The hotel is suitable for those fit enough to walk up Bull lane from town if having arrived by public transport, or for those willing to drive for some half a mile down a tree-line "avenue" of forest track --a lovely- if not so practical as normal--, approach,.
The owners are very caring, attentive and helpful.
The view from the Stanley room in which I stayed is a commanding one of the valley and mountains beyond. The complimentary bath-robes and the chaise- longe were nice touches that made one feel like a "Lord of the Manor".
Breakfast offers all you can eat and could wish for.
