It is a three star hotel so you get what you pay for. But was disappointed about the cleanliness, especially in the bathroom. Staff were amazing and would go above and beyond for you.

Sativa cottages has that old Bali style appearance. It was clean ,comfortable and central to restaurants and shopping. Staff were very friendly and helpful. the cottages need some maintenance to rooms and pool area but only minor, not a real issue for us. Overall we had a great stay and enjoyed the experience.

Solo female traveller. Had a lovely stay here. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The rooms are enormous and it is super quiet. They are stand alone (one above another) with a staircase in between so you don't hear anyone. The bed is very comfortable and the water is hot and good pressure. No safe in room but room safety box at front reception desk with key. Only Indonesian plugs in room so take a converter. Breakfast was basic but nice. Egg station and pancakes. Down a side street so you have to walk around to get to the beach road but not too far. Bicycle hire onsite (very cheap) so I just did that and rode everywhere! Pool is very nice but it can get a little crowded and if you want peace and quiet probably not the place. I just rode my bike to the beach and hired a lounge for the day and sat there! Money changer and supermarket right next door & plenty of lovely restaurants and bars close by. Overall a lovely place and I would stay again.

Great secluded property directly behind the busy main street. It was quiet, cozy, and beautiful with the pool running through it. Some of the furnishings seems a bit dated. Not very many charging points and only the local plugs, but it didnt bother me that much. Sitting at the balcony looking at the pool was serene. Would definitely stay again.

This was the 3rd time we have stayed at the property and we have seen a decline in standards. Possibly due to a lack of cashflow during Covid has hit hard, roofs leaking and patched up with tarpaulins, we had to move rooms as ours had water running down the inside walls during a heavy shower. Pool bar not open as they cannot afford the liquor license, they are probably doing their best, but the place does need money spending on it and Soon !

Third time we have stayed at this hotel so obviously it suits are needs. Probably a result of Covid and lack of cashflow has resulted in poor maintenance and cleanliness standards been kept up . Hopefully things will begin to improve during 2023, will be back in March so we shall see

We will be back again! Great, friendly staff. Rooms were nice. Pool is excellent, but I wish the swim bar was operational. Only beer available which sucked because we do love a voddie. Heaps of great food choices around and a very short walk to the awesome Sanur boardwalk/promenade thing.

Great place, took some friends from the YK for their first trip to Bali so we wanted an hotel that reflected the original Bali feel. The Sativa Sanur Cottages had the perfect mix of old style traditional but yet up to date bathrooms and Air con etc. very peaceful and relaxed setting. No kids and plenty of sunbeds available anytime of the day. Supermarket at the top of the driveway, heaps of good warungs, restaurants and bars

Sativa Sanur stay - 22 - 29 December 2019.
My wife, our son, and myself traveled to Bali on Sunday, 22 December 2019. On arrival at the airport, I found that there were no arrangement made for our collection at the airport, as per my request. "Could you please include airport shuttle service. We will be arriving at Denpasar Airport @ 16:35 on 22 Dec 19 onboard Garuda Flight GA447, and depart again on 29 Dec 19 @ 13:00 on Garuda Flight GA446" I then called the hotel, and they told me that no arrangement was made with them, so I arranged for a taxi to the hotel by myself. (Lesson learnt - call the hotel beforehand to confirm!). The stay at the hotel was very pleasant, good location, friendly staff, nice swimming pool. Some complaints though with regards to the facilities, not show stoppers though. 1. Wi-Fi was so bad that we used our own WiFi Router the entire week! 2. No Coffee/tea maker in room!. "Food & Drink - Refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, room service, and free bottled water".We went and bought a small portable gas stove and a pot, to boil water in to make coffee. 3. No bottled water in room, only a Stainless Steel water jug with water.

For a resort that opened in 1990, it still holds up. As per other reviews, the hotel could use some work but they do not oversell themselves or amenities. We booked last minute and were happy with the size of the room and the pool. Some variety to the breakfast options would be nice. The location is perfect as it’s a 5 minute walk to the beach, restaurants and there’s a supermarket next door. Recommend for those looking for a no fuss hotel in Sanur as the staff were friendly and helpful.
