Meh.... better than sleeping in your car

I traveled to Golden last minute for a friend's wedding. I made a reservation here because it was low cost. It's not the worst motel I've ever stayed in but it's pretty rundown. The room was pretty dirty. There are no outlets for charging devices at all, I had to unplug lamps and alarm clocks to access a plug-in next to the bed. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave but the refrigerator didn't really work. On top of that there was only two plugins near the microwave and refrigerator. One of the plugs was already being used by a lamp so that had to be unplugged in order to plug in the appliances which didn't have cords long enough to reach the plug-in so you had to slide things around to get things to reach. The beds were just double beds and had stains on the sheets. The mattresses were not terribly comfortable. The guy I dealt with at the front desk was actually pretty nice to deal with and took decent care of me when I had a door card reset and I had to get a new key card for my room. Location-wise it's right next to a gas station and pretty close to a pharmacy and some fast food places. It's not terribly located in Golden which was part of the reason I stayed there. If I wasn't so cheap I would probably stay somewhere else in the future but it served its purpose.

Trashy and Terrible!

I've been coming up to Denver and surrounding areas for work for about a month now. I stay in hotels a week at a time. They've all been in the same price range per week also. However this has got to be the absolute worst place I've ever stayed in my life. Not just lately. The first room they put me in was filthy and the bathroom ceiling was leaking. The 2nd room they put me didn't have a working heater but the room was bit cleaner. There's people that seem to live there full time that are definitely not pleasant at all. Constantly ripping mini bikes up and down the parking area at all hours of the night. It to mention my truck fell victim to a hit and run in the parking lot... I will never be back and I will never recommend this or any other La Quinta based off of this one experience.

I didnt like that i had to ask multiple times to have my sheets changed or cleaned and even when they did they gave me bedding with holes, stains, and qhat looked like blood. The bathroom had mold, stains from something in the ceiling. The heater/fan didnt work properly. The room smelt aweful!

Usually I think la Quinta is a safe bet but this property was disgusting & such a maze all the guests were wandering around trying to find their rooms. We tried 2 rooms before we got one that didn’t reek of smoke. The man working in guest services even admitted he tried not to leave the front desk to go to any of the rooms. I think that says it all !

Did not honor what was verbially stated, do not trust Bryce, full of lies and misleading, review the pictures, room and beds were dirty, not clean sheets, 2nd night the voucher people outside talking until 4:30 am stuck on the 3rd floor so you can clearly hear the traffic on I-70, the semi's especially, all and all, not a good place. . . photos show the dirty sheets on both beds, broke ice machine, total quality. . . not expecting a mint on the pillow, far from it, this is at the most a 25 dollar a night flop house. . .

If you’re looking for a comfortable place to sleep, this place works. We didn’t get to breakfast until 30 minutes before closing, and there wasn’t much of a selection. I did have to ask the front desk for more utensils, which they got, but the workers weren’t attentive. Also, we had ants in the bathroom.
