Good times in Lakewood

Really nice dog friendly hotel. Both desk clerks came out and welcomed our dog. We had a convenient first floor room which is perfect because many dogs are really afraid of elevators. Breakfast was good. Only thing I wished they had was a fenced in area. Our dog does not poop well on a leash and in a strange location he is not safe without a leash. This causes frustration on all levels. Also happy that we are not charged a dog fee. They do put a $100 hold on our credit card, which is quickly released because our dog is well behaved. Other hotels charge from $20-100 just to have your dog in your room. Those fees are non refundable .We will stay at a La Quinta hotel in the future.

Arrived at about 1:30. Asked if i coukd check in early. Was told the systems were down and they could not check anyone in. Sat in my car for and gour and still could not get checked in along with other waiting customers. Finally got checked in and the rooms were nkt very clean. Smelled of mold and smoke and there was cigarette ashes on the ac unit.

Where to stay if you don’t have a fat wallet

This is a low-cost hotel and you know it by its lack of upkeep—the back security door always is unlocked, torn curtains in our room, and an elevator that didn’t work for awhile. I’m glad our pup could stay with us, but she was probably affected by the smell of forbidden products like we were. The odd-numbered rooms have tremendous highway noise. Ok for the price.

A good cheap stay that could have been better

While the room was clean, the the chair in the room had collapsed and the door to get into the room was faulty. The staff we interacted with was friendly and while it was nice to have breakfast included, it was incredibly lacking with no hot protein options.
