The fire alarm system went off at midnight waking us and the rest of the hotel with no good explorations or apologies for the inconvenience. The hotel was clean but our room felt small even with just two people. The area around the hotel felt unsafe and not a place I would recommend walking about after dark.

The area is near a homeless shelter where there are several people loitering so I wouldn’t walk anywhere. However, the property itself is nice. Issues with our room: Tv kept cutting off. AC wasn’t working properly, it got really hot at night. Sink kept stopping up. Housekeeping said they were bringing more towels in 3 mins, but fail to show. I had to call the front desk for them to pass the message again. I waited 30 mins, however had to leave. I came back to my room to a OPENED DOOR!!! Gratefully, nothing was taken but that was a huge risk. I looked in the restroom, welp I had my towels, so the housekeeping finally came however they left the door ajar to be subject to enter by others. The food in the restaurant was not appealing. I gave this property 3 stars because of the staff, the beds were comfortable, and the view I had towards downtown was amazing. And it was quiet. Michelle was very helpful.

Very dissatisfied with my overall stay at the Renaissance Denver Hotel. They did not specify that some parts of the hotel were under construction including the outdoor pool. The Jacuzzi was dirty and missing some lights. I had to ask for extra towels eveyday, because they only replenished the room with 2 towels instead of 4, when I made it clear that there were four of us in that room and once they did not even give us toilet paper. I also asked for room service one night, nobody brought my food up or called my room when it was ready. I thought the whole reason for leaving my room number on the receipt was so they would bring it up like all other hotels or at the very least a curtesy call that it is ready. By the time I picked up my food it was cold and restaurant was already closing.The times on the sheet of paper they give you are incorrect. The bar apparently closes at 11 p.m but when I went down there at 10:30 p.m and asked for a drink, the bartender said they are closed and already cleaned and shut down the bar. The game room has out of order games, that they did not put a note on and I lost some money to the machine. All in all my family and I did not have a good time at this hotel. We had high expectations since we just came back from the Renaissance hotel in Amsterdam, which was amazing. Denver needs some work and a lot of it.

The hotel was nicely modern and updated! Staff was friendly, lots of amenities (lounge, bar, conference center, pool, market place, etc.), and breakfast was pretty good. The only complaint is that they play loud music in the lounge/bar area - not a huge issue but the bedrooms open up to an atrium and I could hear loud music playing as late as midnight.
