Great chalet in proper wilderness location. Awesome large spa. Wicked king bed. Great wood heater but would have liked some more kindling to re-light the fire in the morning. Certainly will be back for a longer stay.
Chalets are great, fire was going when we got there. Louise the manager could brush up on her customer skills. Derwent Bridge Hotel 700mt away has great meals.
Ideal cottage for our one night stay, comfortable and good facilities but the owner / checkin lady needs to change her attitude towards her guests, she was very rude and unwelcoming - a smile can make a persons day
We enjoyed the quietness at our accomodation and loved we could catch up on our washing and get our clothes dried in our room after a number of days being on the road. Everything was clean, attractive and thought of by the owner. It was just down the road from the hotel that provided a lovely meal and the wooden sculpture exhibition “The Wall” that was absolutely amazing. Don’t miss it.

Easy and efficient checkin. Spotless room. Close iconic pub with great meals. Very comfy bed and room.
It was clean, well apppointed, has a laundry, grab rails in shower and toilet, big shower, plenty of space, great beds, heating, lovely outdoor deck, beautiful grounds, private.
A nice touch was that heaters were on when we arrived so whole chalet was warm.
Would absolutely recommend these chalets.
Left several qns but property reply any... Clean and 5 mins from lake st clair. Very linted food options nearby but stove and microwave available in room
Modest exterior hides impeccably clean, well provisioned and comfortable accommodation. The small verandah looks on to bush which comes alive after dusk with all sorts of interesting noises. The torch provided was very useful to see some very cute Glider faces in the spot light.

It was average. The bed was pretty uncomfortable. There was no complementary items, all had to be paid for. My partner and I had stocked up prior to arrival at the Ouse IGA so we were fine but we found it pretty steep. The actual room was clean and okay. The lack of wifi was surprising. We only stayed one night. The owner seemed put off by us trying to just check in.
This was by far our worst stay in Tasmania. Mainly based on the unwelcoming attitude of the receptionist. Check in was 3pm .... 1 hour later than any other check in we had in Tasmania. We turned up at 2.50pm. The receptionist made us wait until 3pm on the dot before she would look at any paperwork ( along with a NZ couple who were also denied early check in). When she did open her door at 3pm she was very unwelcoming ... totally the opposite of all of our other experiences in Tasmania.
In the room it stipulated that if you used any dishes or cutlery, you would be expected to wash them, dry them and put them away, otherwise you would be charged an additional tariff.
The stay at this premises at Derwent Bridge left a sour taste in our mouth ... and if doing the trip again, i would have by passed this location and spent the extra day in either Cradle Mountain or Hobart.
The accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable. Certainly no personal touches. Abrupt notices about her precious cereal a bit insulting. The pub was great. Meal was excellent.
