Ok but with issues
The hotel was spacious. It was a long walk from the checkin to my room. I had close my curtains immediately as the room was off of the pool area. There was no hot water in the shower. I even let it run for a few minutes and it was still cold. But the room was spacious.

The place was going under construction when we were there. There was a few issues with the place, but I understood that the place was in transition. We did not experience any issues with our room specifically.

The hotel had a lot of potential. However, it felt rundown. The sheets were either stained or dirty. There were huge fans outside the room blowing and drying wet carpet. The AC took hours to cool the room, but once cool it was fine. The breakfast was good and coffee was GREAT.

This motel was in no way like the motel portrayed on the website!! The only nice part was the area around the front desk. The ret of it was messy and dirty and horribly cluttered. The pool area was full of crates and boxes on pallets along with a lot of other stuff. Couldn’t hardly get to the pool, which didn’t have the filter pumps running anyway. The room was very musty and stuffy, the AC unit rattled so loud I’m surprised the front desk didn’t hear it. It was not stocked with towels or washcloths, the bedspread had several cigarette burns and the floor was dirty. The two “queen” beds were actually queen sized frames with full size mattresses. The next morning we asked again for washcloths and just got hand towels. The bathroom sink had no water and sand came out of the shower. I talked to the front desk and we got a new room. It was marginally better. Same issue with the beds. I certainly will never stay at a clarion again.

Very poor quality and service. They skimp on the few products they provide (paper thin stained towels, thin tissue paper, stained bed sheets and blankets). They sell everything at the counter, simple things other hotels provide at no cost like a toothbrush or toothpaste they sell it all. The entire place stinks of food and body odor. Just terrible!

It was 2am when I got in, the shuttle driver was also the person who checked me in. It took a while. There was no hand soap in the room, I used shampoo…I basically only slept in the room. The bed was comfortable and clean.

The pictures on Expedia are not accurate at all. The hotel and rooms don’t look anything like the pictures. I don’t think AC runs through the hallways of this hotel because it was very muggy as we walked through them it smelled like a basement. The rooms seemed to have working AC but the bed linens had stains on the pillows and sheets. The bathroom shower had stains in the tub area. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you were looking for a clean place to stay. We didn’t want to stay so we checked into a different hotel the same day. We were offered another room but the whole hotel wasn’t a good feeling at all.

Pictures appeared nicer than the hotel. Served it's purpose. The guy at the desk was very helpful and courteous. Not any sort of a luxury stay. Place to lay your head in a clean room close to DSM airport.

Do not stay here. The room was not as pictured and smelled terribly of mold and mildew. Room felt like a bedroom in a nasty basement. Common areas we not air conditioned and felt miserable with 90 degree temps. Place was not clean and had terrible smell.

It's a typical airport hotel. The staff was pleasant to work with. The property is dated, even with obvious attempts to refresh it. The room was ok but just felt sloppy. The flooring was installed incorrectly so it was pushing up in the middle. I could feel it sink back down each time I stepped on it. The paint job is sloppy with paint from the walls on the trim and ceiling. The caulking in the shower is unsightly. The bathroom was constantly warm and smelled of mildew mixed with sweaty socks. Bed was decent enough and the AC cooled the room well. Just felt grungy and needed to shower after leaving. Will not stay here again on future visits.
