I booked a poolside suite on Wednesday for a Saturday night stay. Got a call on Saturday 10 minutes before check-in time saying that Expedia overbooked the hotel, and they don't have any suites left. They tell me I can have a room in another hotel down the road, or a regular room. I have one child who wants to go to bed early and another who wants to stay up late. This is why I booked a suite. This is why I book rooms online ahead of time: so I know I have what I want when I get there. They ended up giving me one regular room with an adjoining room for no extra charge, which worked out fine for us. The staff who helped me was great.
The pools weren't great. Water was cold and the hot tub was barely warm. Kiddie pool was closed and there weren't any pool towels put out for the last hour the pool was open. So when the pool closed, everyone just had to walk to their rooms cold and sopping wet.
The rooms are very run down, lots of stains, and in need of repairs. My daughter got stuck in the bathroom because the door latch was broken. We could barely slide the other bathroom door closed.
