This is a good option for when we need to stay overnight in the city, but didn't need a lot of fancy perks. The rooms and lobby are clean and we can have our dog with us. The location is very convenient with several fast food options, a Hy-Vee across the street, a Walgreens a couple of blocks away, and the interstate is right there as well.

This was our third night on a cross country drive. This was the best hotel/motel we found on the whole trip. No criticisms at all, except perhaps that it was not the most interesting part of town. But we were only there to sleep, and continue our drive first thing in the morning, so for us this was not an issue. Other than that, everything met or exceeded our expectations.

Nice property, comfortable. Close to I-35 and shopping mall/restaurants. Very friendly and competent management with decent breakfast. Everything was kept clean and whole property was watched and cared for jealousy. A lot of noise transmission from upper floors but could have just been excessively rude guests. Overall, my third stay and I will probably return again.

At check in did not receive King bed as advertised. With pet only had double queen available. I had to relate all information again: address, phone, email, etc. They only had name and account information. Difficulty understanding check in person due to accent.

I booked a king room, got a two queen room. They didn’t do anything to make it right or try to get me into a room I had booked. The room looked run down and definitely needs updating. Outside of the hotel was nice and was quiet but the staff wasn’t very friendly. I don’t think I would stay here again as I didn’t get the room I booked.

Clean, but not great.
The room was very dim with low light lamps. We did not have an exhaust fan in the bathroom and the shower drain wouldn’t stay open. We had to prop it open with the lotion sampler and hold it to drain.

Sleep Inn & Suites West Des Moines near Jordan Creek was a great place to stay during a tough time. The staff was kind and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable, which made it easier to relax after long days at the hospital. The location was convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. The free breakfast and quiet atmosphere were much appreciated. Thankful for the hospitality!
