The Onsen is a very nicely renovated property. Large, comfortable rooms. Great continetal breakfast included with the rooms. Tracy did our check-in and she is lovely. Very friendly and pleasant to deal with. We would definitely consider staying here again if we find ourselves in the area.
What a positive and relaxing time at the hotel. My daughter and i went for a wedding and was able to so so in the most relaxed manner thanks tp the folks at thw hotel.
The hotel is cute, the neighborhood is so so. There is nothing close by but it was much less expensive than staying in Palm Springs and worked out well for us. We spent 1 day at the Tram and 1 day at the outlet malls. The pool and hot tub were great.

Very nice property. Well maintained. Very welcoming staff.
This place is great if you’re just gonna chill there the whole time and don’t mind 20 minutes drive for any real options outside of a couple restaurants. It’s not very big, but it was nice that it wasn’t busy and we got the pool/ hot tub to ourselves. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. Hot tub timer was annoying and didn’t work well, breakfast was not the best. I just think it was a bit overpriced but I’m not unhappy with my experience
The property was very nice and the staff was as well. The area around the property is not so nice but the reception staff said they have security staff patrol the grounds overnight. The property is clean, the areas around the property have lots of garbage strewn everywhere.
A great place to stay when exploring the Joshua Tree area. We enjoyed the quiet and the thermal spa!

Incredibly rude staff at Onsen
Due to the fires in SoCal, we wanted to change our trip dates. Tried to change online, however the hotels.com website was not working correctly, so I resorted to calling. Hotels.com team tried to help out, but the Onsen hotel staff was incredibly rude to your team! They thought I was on hold, but I could hear the entire conversation! The Onsen staff kept trying to pretend like they couldn’t understand the slightly Indian accented, perfectly good clear English that your hotels.com staff was speaking. It was really rude and racist. Onsen finally said we needed to speak to a manager, but management refused to pick up or call back for 7 days and it was finally too late. Since I was going to be charged anyway, I decided not to cancel my reservation, so the hotel could not double dip. It was clear they were trying to keep my money AND resell the room. And just to be really clear… hotels.com staff were very patient and kind and did everything they could. And I was very patient and kind when I tried to speak to the hotel directly. My English had no accent, so I guess they’re just dismissive and rude and unresponsive to everyone. I will not ever book that hotel because I heard just how rude they were to your hotels.com staff. I will book hotels through hotels.com again, and I appreciate your compassionate and hard-working team.
Nowhere on Expedia is it mentioned that this hotel is adults only. My son and I went to check in, and not only were we turned away (exhausted after 8 hours of driving) even after staff acknowledged the failure being on their part, but I was also told I couldn’t be given a refund bc “only the owner can do that” and she was not on the property. Listen, I am a business owner, too. I understand how systems can be challenging to navigate at times. But when we make mistakes, we still are beholden to do the right thing. I am incredibly disappointed in the owner of this establishment. May they learn from their mistakes and do better next time.
