The hotel is a good option close to the highway for a few nights. Being an older property the rooms are spacious which is a big plus. Location is quite good as well with most of Detroit attractions a quick drive away and some decent shopping in the neighborhood as well. Breakfast was well above expectations and the young lady who manages breakfast is a beacon for customer service. She was amazing all three days that we stayed. The customer service at the front desk however was a completely different story. Check in was cold and unwelcoming. They make access to the pool as inconvenient as possible. On check in I was rudely asked if we planned on using the pool during our stay. Its an amenity and I should have the freedom of using it if I want to. On Friday when we did want to use the pool the lady at the front desk seemed most irritated with us and very grudgingly asked me to fill out a form and then handed over wristbands which they are neurotic about. There was no one else at the pool but they almost seem to not want anyone to use it. At the pool another staff came to check if we had the wristbands even though there was no one else at the pool and then told me that my child could not be around between 3 pm and 10 pm. Lastly the hotel also seems to be falling apart. It is old and it shows. A bathroom door that you have to slam shut because its warped and a armchair that was filthy. The room door looked liked someone had to try to smash their way in.

Nice quiet hotel. the walls are pretty thin, so you'll have to keep the volume down. There's a pool with a gym area. There's also a laundry room available.

We enjoyed the amenities and breakfast buffet. Most staff were friendly but there were a few that were unpleasant. The hotel room was a pretty cold most nights and the community hot tub had rust stains. Overall though, we enjoyed our experience. Our favorite part was definitely the pool, sauna, and access to grill.

It’s a nice hotel but some of the areas need a remodel. The bar smells musty. Our room was nice but the ac was broke. We turned the air on before we left and when got back the room was wet feeling ( bad humidity ) so it was hard to sleep in the bed feeling so wet. The curtains didn’t close all the way so there was light in our room the whole time. Unfortunately we were by a light outside…. The bathroom is really small. It’s a hotel you would stay at if you’re not going to be there for a couple of days and not spending the whole time in your room.

Great trip. Hotel was clean, well maintained. Super friendly and helpful staff (especially Jennifer at the front desk) Would recommend and will stay there again. Great location to many attractions. Clean pool area.

Nice stay, convenient to Henry Ford Museums.
The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is pretty and has some interesting old furniture and pictures to look at. The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed sitting in one of the gazebos and enjoying the morning breeze. The pool was a little chilly, but that might just be us, we're in our 60's.The wifi in our room wasn't very strong and somewhat spotty. The breakfast was good and kept hot, but go very early. We went down about seven and found one of the hot items gone and another almost gone. They were in the process of preparing more, but there were several people waiting for the new batch to come out which didn't happen in the twenty minutes or so we were there. There were two tour busses in the parking lot which probably contributed to the demand on the food. This hotel is very convenient to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, just a few minutes away. Overall, a nice stay.

Friendly and nostalgic
Wonderful employees who were very friendly and helpful. The building is full of nostalgia and brought back fond memories of family roadtrips. Great pool area, handy to have a restaurant on site after a long day of driving, and we even spotted a turtle at the hotel's little pond. We'll stay again when passing through the area.
