Shoot yourself in the foot for booking this hotel.
Arrived about midnight and stated we had two rooms. Front desk had one of the heaviest accects around and it was very hard to understand. It also did not help that there was a man cursing into a phone right next to a security guard who was more interested in his airpods than telling the caller not to use verbage like n**** every 3rd word. Front lobby also had the misic from the club happening so the noise decible level was already around 90, or like being inside a New York during rush hour. Went upstairs to find the hallway reeking of marijuana. This was explained when our ONE room didnt have a smoke detector. Found out we were charged for 2 room. Went back downstairs and explained the situation, the smell, and the missing smoke detector (isnt it against the law/against fire regulation to sell a hotel room without one?) Front desk was a jerk and insisted we were suppose to give both names for the room instead of the one name the RESERVATION was under. Very unapologetic. When told about the smoke alarm he said that they KNEW about it, but only offered to switch rooms at 1 a.m. They would not refund us for the first night room using the excuse that we had used a third party vendor to book. There wasnt evem enough staff to send up extra blankets, yet the front desk was quick to document his interaction for Expedia to read. I finally got my hotel room at 2 a.m. on the same floor to find room a reeked of marijuana.
