in general this is a decent place notwithstanding the bad neighborhood it seems to be in...the room was actualy quite nice, clean and was a pleasant surprise as it exceeded my expectation (given the surrounding area)...they countered this by having bright lights all around the outside so that is good (but it also is a reminder of bad the area is)...you gotta do what you gotta do, bit the room was clean and the night clerk was excellent.

Loved that they provided breakfast, with bananas, for the runners the early morning of the race. They opened up earlier than normal to make sure that all the runners for the Detroit Free Press Marathon had food to eat.

Everything was meh to poor. Checking in was poor. As I walked in someone walked out. Turned out she was the front desk clerk. She didn’t come back till she was done with her cigarette. She also only checked me in for half of my nights causing issues the next day. The lobby stunk of pot and cigarettes to the point of disgusting. The hotel is not clean. There was hair on the bathroom walls, mildew, and what looked like blood stain on one of the pillows. The carpet looks about 30 years old of dirt thru out the building. The furniture was broken and in disrepair. The door had about an inch gap all the way around. The ice machine had some vomit looking crud in it. The next morning cleaning crew had the back doors propped open and they were nowhere in site. Overall a crummy hotel. It is a fake comfort inn to be sure. It is the absolute worst one I have stayed at. I thought I would be safe with the brand I was wrong.

Property is definitely dated, elevator was down during our stay but the man at the front desk was very kind and the free breakfast was great! Just needed a cheap hotel overnight close to downtown and this fit the bill.

The elevator is broken. The TV in our room is broken. It smells like Marijuana all throughout the hotel. Someone also tried fighting the cops in the lobby and got arrested while we were checking in.

We expected the inside rooms to be fairly poor and we were right. Hair and dust in the heater/air con, carpet very stained - leave your shoes on. Smell in hallway. Upside, just a place to sleep for night was ok and Rich the shuttle guy AND the front office staff are excellent. Breakfast area and room nice - basic selection but appreciated. Fairly safe area.
