Just had a one night stay here before a procedure at Henry Ford. Great room, comfortable bed, felt safe walking in the area as well. Only suggestion is to Hilton as a whole. It doesn't seem like any of their more "in the city" locations have very sound proof windows. So if one is used to a nice quiet location, it can be had at first to get used to the traffic and such you can hear outside. But this is nothing this location can control! It was a great spot to say and would stay again.

Our stay here was just okay. The best part is that it’s walking distance to a lot of restaurants so it made it super convenient. There’s a free breakfast in the lobby everyday from 6-10 which is awesome if you’re an early riser. I’m not so I can’t rate it as I didnt take part in that amenity. My only gripe is that the pool was down for our entire 4 day stay which was a big bummer for my son and me. They kept saying that it would be up and running “tomorrow” every day that we asked instead of just being honest and saying “it’s down until further notice”. That would’ve been better than getting our hopes up everyday ready to go swim just to be disappointed over and over again. The staff was super nice and helpful which made the stay better under the circumstances.

Room was booked for four adults. Found bathroom was only prepped for two people. Breakfast items not kept stocked ( no milk for breakfast one morning). Homeless person allowed into breakfast area and in fact told a member of our party that she was sitting in his seat and was allowed to stay in the area to drink coffee and eat breakfast. Second day, the same homeless person just walked in the back door and the staff did not do anything.

Difficult to recommend

We normally find Hampton reliably consistent in quality. However, this location was not up to its standards. Holes in the walls, holes in the towels. Toothbrush left in bathroom from previous occupant. Our room was second floor with window overlooking Michigan Ave; loud traffic noise.

Breakfast was not very good. Oatmeal was soup, hot food was microwaved and not good. Biggest complaint was room cleaning. Do not like every other day cleaning. Tried to give garbage to one lady who said she didn’t have our room and to give it to someone else. Saw a lot of employees sitting around on cell phones at various times. Not very inclined to help out.

Great location , there are many restaurant options within walking distance.The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The buffet was amazing and offered many options. The only downfalls are the noise from traffic can be a distraction and make it a little difficult to sleep. Also the bed is a little too firm. It’s still a great value and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone.

The Hotel was right on the main drag. Which was good and bad - good because it was convenient to go out, but bad because it was really noisy. The sheets on the bed were threadbare, so the bedding and generally the whole property could use some updates.
