I reserve a handicap room. Did not get it asked for towels daily had to wait hours. Fall in the rest room because the toilet paper ring fell off the wall. Did not give me extra sheets and did not make bed had my friend come up to help me. Ambulance came to pick me up. Bath room tissue had blood in it and on it. I had to walk down to get towels. I have a amputated foot.

This hotel is pretty dirty and in a state of disrepair. The room looked okay at first, but almost everything was pretty cheap, old and often broken. Couldn't close the bathroom door, for example, since it had clearly been kicked open at a point and a huge chunk of the wood from the door frame had been broken off and then just painted over instead of repaired. Through the night there was an extremely bright light shining into my window which would have been fine if the drapes were able to be drawn closed fully (they weren't). But none of that compared to the noise - people were partying, fights broke out, etc.. In the end I got almost no sleep in the uncomfortable bed of questionable cleanliness.

When I checked in, I was informed of a $50 deposit, which is not listed ANYWHERE and Orbitz is actually really good about informing of all fees involved. I had just gotten off a red eye flight that had been delayed several times so already exhausted and just ready to get some sleep just went with it. When I woke up, flipped the pillows over to find nasty stains. Brought the cases down to the desk and requested new pillow cases only to be accused of putting the stains there myself and told I would be charged for new pillow cases! I stayed for 3 nights, requested housekeeping 3 separate times and they never showed. Couldn’t get parking space anywhere, had to park at the restaurant next to the hotel. Quite the walk for someone who has an artificial ankle and walks with a cane. The pool that’s advertised is not open. The sink would take over an hour to drain after use. Was charged an extra fee on my card “in case of incidentals” which is absurd since there’s no room service. Bath tub plug doesn’t plug. Bath tub paint also chipping. Above all of that, however, it was the rude staff that made the experience the worst. A little bit of customer service can go a LONG way. I was here on business and I can assure you myself nor my employer will ever willingly book this hotel again.

Smelled like mould. Guy at the front desk was shockingly rude. Bathtub is old and nasty. Room had a stink of weed. Mattress was horrible. Ugly Stain on the blanket. Breakfast is cheap. Coffee machine has calcium deposits left from tap water in it. Apart from the location, it was a poor experience

It was a two days short stay with my son. There’s not much to complain about the hotel as it offers all things that you need based on the price you paid for, but the overall experience was it’s an okay hotel close to the airport with fair price!

Nice hotel, good choice.

This Howard Johnson hotel is conveniently located minutes from the Detroit airport. The room I had was clean with a comfortable bed and friendly staff. The free airport shuttle was very helpful. I would steer clear of the Bob Evans restaurant next door. UBER eats and Doordash have several good options. Overall I would stay again.
