The surrounding area is full of homeless and drunks. The sheets were dirty upon arrival and they only had twin sheets for the queen bed. The staff was friendly and the building seemed secure. And the water was hot. But not a place i would want to stay again.

So easy to book and get to your room with a simple code. Spacious and modern room with tons of amenities, we could easily live there, it has everything you need. Loves that we could easily walk to bars, restaurants and pretty much anything.

Best price in the area. It’s in a great walkable location. Was awesome to include a kitchen, washer & dryer. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Detroit. This would be the first place I look if I were to return

Jackpot!!
Our time in Detroit was all about catching up with family, but our room was more than just a room. A one bedroom apartment allowed us to wash laundry, prepare meals, come together in a spacious and warehouse chic space. We hit the jackpot this with hotel and great parking options nearby. We paid US$60 for 2 nights and the open air garage had 24 hour security.

The building is secure: you can't get in without a code, and there was always an attendant at the front desk and a security guard at night. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. The rooms are newly renovated and actually had a more upscale modern industrial design than I expected. The bedroom was a little small and had no television, but the nightlife in this area of Detroit kept us busy and we didn't watch much TV on our stay. The parking lot directly across the street was not cheap, but it was convenient, and they attend the lot 24/7. This place is a 10 minute walk from every major Downtown Detroit attraction, and costs less than the national chain hotel like the Westin across the street. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Detroit.

Let’s start with the good: rooms were large, clean, had a kitchen and laundry. It felt more like downtown loft/studio than a hotel. Very centrally located and walkable to all of downtown Detroit which is actually quite nice. Negatives: the check in process is long and has to be done before you arrive. It will give you a code to access the property and room. The code was a pain. Pay attention to all e mails from Sonder. The street noise is loud, this is probably more a downtown thing than a Sonder thing but be aware. Also the hotel did not have parking there are lots of public lots nearby so you have to use those

Our stay was great. The studio was very clean. The area around the building is just fine too. Parking was easy when we paid the weekend parking fee. The city was just great.
