Great area for good food and Old West proximity. No one can do this for you. Do the research and enjoy. Nothing sucks as much as coastal tourists who are culturally clueless. Don’t buy a cowboy hat or pretend you know the west. Be genuine and inquisitive and the locals will treat you like royalty.

Unacceptable CheckIn Receptionist ….
During Evening Smoke detector, started beeping, Phone in room was not working, used personal cell phone to report to Front Desk , where rude attendant accused me of smoking in room, I am a non smoker, getting ready to walk down attendant met me at Door, with an attitude. Told her to listen for annoying, BEEP, she left , Moments passed, I walked down and again with an Attitude, she said she called Maintenance, later they came , replaced Battery, all was well, told Maintenance story , and that Phone was Inoperative. He picked up phone and agreed, it didn’t work. After he left , I walked back to lobby and left my Business Card for manager or Supervisor to call me , No Call..

I stayed there for 5 nights and enjoyed it. Gym and pool areas are clean. Property is closed to boothill museum and other food places. It is also in walking distance to walk along Arkansas river bank for early morning or evening stroll.
