To be honest, I expected more. I stayed because I had never stayed at a Waldorf before. The room was wonderful, however I found it strange, that they placed me in one of the private alcove that has 2 bedrooms for interconnecting, when they could have given me a completely private entrance, as it was during Ramadan. The facilities are great, however it’s over 3 levels, so you have to constantly up and down if you want to sauna, gym, swim, shower. It’s annoying. I also asked for additional water, was not provided. Also, sometimes I do stay in hotels based in amenities. They have Byredo which is my favourite. I have stayed in Intercon and other hotels with this brand. Now, I feel that some of the toiletries were indeed not Byredo, but some sort of alternative. Including in the change rooms, it says Byredo on the label, but inside it’s a strange spa brand. This is disappointing. I think due to these small mishaps, I likely won’t stay at Waldorf Astoria again. Ritz Carlton was much better

Our family vacation in Doha was crowned with the excellent customer service we got at the Waldof Astoria west bay Doha. Everyone was exceptionally plesant and very attentive. The room was immaculately neat and spacious. The concierge servicewas top notch, very helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make our visit a memorable one.

What an incredible experience. One person that I would like to personally mention is Alvin, working at the breakfast restaurant. Alvin went above and beyond each of our mornings at the hotel, crafting beautiful fruit bowls for our family based on the fruit we picked from the plates on the first day. Extremely dissatisfied with our stay and disappointed that this was a Waldorf Astoria property. We had two rooms booked and neither room was ready until about 8pm, leaving us at the lobby to wait…they gave us a cup of tea as compensation for the inconvenience. Our booking as advertised was for a room of over 3000 sq ft and instead they gave us two connecting rooms that were in total about 1200 sq ft. There was mildew odor in both rooms and active water leaks in the walls. They said they could not move us as they had no other rooms. I have photos of about 8 areas where there are yellow stains from ongoing leaks in the walls. Upon departure, with our luggage, we were confronted by one of the lobby staff to ensure we had not forgotten to let them know whether we had eaten anything from the minibar snacks. What a disaster of a stay. Please spend your money elsewhere.

There are no words that would do this property and staff justice. This is a 20 star hotel - exquisite environment with helpful, kind and caring staff. I have never experienced this level of service and care. Ritchie Andreasdď made our stay perfect. She is truly a gem and the Waldorf is lucky to have her. All the staff working at this hotel had one mandate, “customers first”. My family and I are truly grateful for everyone at the Waldorf.
