Somewhat dated but still charming hotel in a tranquil nature setting. Not much interaction with staff, other than reception and breakfast staff, who were efficient. Disappointed that restaurant was not open and closest options for evening dining were too far to walk (especially in the rain). Leisure centre was fabulous - equipment, facilities and pool top notch. Only, small, complaint is that access required a 5 minute walk outside the hotel, which was not pleasant in the morning rain.

Great hotel with a very comfortable room; hallways a bit “weary” but I think they’re going to redo them. Easy to find, and staff extremely helpful. The pool is awesome! I got to swim laps for the first time since I’ve been in Ireland!

Lovely old warm charm with great staff

Lovely quiet place to stay. Not much going on in the hotel. It’s a large guesthouse offering B&B only. They do advertise this so no surprises there. Staff were lovely and breakfast really nice. Beautiful old world charm about the place. Hotel very helpful to advise in ordering food in. They even put out plates etc for those who order food in.

The staff at the property are so kind and attentive. Breakfast had so many options and the food was delicious. They were helpful in giving feedback for potential excursions and helped me make my last jam packed with adventures. The area on the patio needs to be dusted and cleaned because I couldn’t sit out there due to the excesses of webs on the patio chairs. Overall it was a great experience because of the staff and the group that I traveled with.

Great staff, free early check-in. Breakfast was excellent. That there was not a restaurant was no issue, as lots of local restaurants around town. Rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and spacious AND on the north side of Dublin's network and only 20 minutes drive in during rush hour in to the Dublin Airport.

Which one is the way in?

Wifi was very poor in the rooms. OK if you moved to the public rooms. On arrival there are three entrances, but no indication of which is the reception. The one with the ramp is locked so yu have to hau your luggage up steep steps. This is discrimination against disabled people and possibly a fire risk. You can ring for attention but not till you have climbed the steep steps.
Don't bother with the ramp. The door is locked.

One night stay for business

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, staff were excellent , very helpful and accommodating, made use of the leisure centre great pool and sauna, although the restaurant was not available, the staff were helpful with local recommendations , I choose to have food delivered to hotel and was able to have it in the bar area where the hotel provided cutlery and condiments, the breakfast was outstanding lots of choice and very good service. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and is very quiet
