Conveniently located a short drive from the Royal Tyrell Museum and an easy 1km walk into the Drumheller town, passing the giant dinosaur and fossil shops. The room itself was dated and the floors grubby, but the beds were clean and the unit was spacious. We were travelling with an elderly family member and she struggled to walk up the stairs to the unit. Our downstairs and next door neighbours were very loud. Would recommend the WHIFS restaurant attached to the motel- tasty breakfast with decent portion sizes and a cute train that goes around the room.

Our room was very clean but rather dated like a motel often is. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was fantastic. Overall a good stay.

The bed felt like it was on a base of jello. We were not told, but if you don't specifically request housekeeping, you won't get it. We were a family of 3, and reserved as a family of 3, but were only left 2 towels, and 2 coffee pouches in the room. There were no refills for the second day we were there. disappointing.

Firstly, the motel overbooked itself! I made my reservation SEVERAL months in advance and when I arrived they had no room available. There were several other parties who had arrived just before I did who were experiencing the same issue; they managed to get one out of the 3 rooms they booked but they decided to leave to another hotel so I ended up getting the room they left behind. Lastly, and equally as bad, the rooms are gross!!! They smell awful! Pets, smoking and mildew/damp/mold smells all in one. And they’re dirty!! Water damaged baseboards in my room, and a sticky/dirty carpet. We won’t be staying again, and we are telling everyone we know to not stay there either.

Room was larger than I expected with kitchenette which was really nice to have. 2 queen beds were situated so that they afforded privacy which was also nice. Room was older and showing its age in paint (chipped), flooring (soft and uneven) and cleanliness.

The problem was that this was not clean. The smoke detectors were not installed. There were beard hairs in the broken broken sink knobs. The tub surround was broken. The carpet was so dirty. The linoleum was dirty. The bedding smelled clean, but the beds themselves not sure. The bathroom walls had weird black spots all over the walls. Overall... this motel needs a massive overhaul. Also, the pull out bed was actually a fold out couch. No mattress. No bedding for it unless one asked.

Had an excellent stay at the badlands motel! Check in was very easy, and they were able to accomidate a late check out request. The room was clean with AC and a fridge, and it was a short drive to the center of town. Will stay there any time i'm back in Drumheller!

Good price for the room and shares a great breakfast/diner restaurant. Has a nice view of the badlands outside and was quiet at night time. Needs proper renovations not masked, showers were weak, you have to choose between open curtains with a/c cooling the room or a/c cooling the closed curtains

I understand that this is a budget motel but you at least expect the doors to lock properly and the lights to work. I rented 3 rooms for 3 nights (1 single queen and 2 double rooms) The single room was upgraded to a single with kitchenette at no extra charge. This room had a a few issues. Door didn't stay closed unless it was deadbolted, you could see daylight around the door as the frame was falling apart. The ac unit was newer but was really dirty and was very noisy. The bedside tables are coming separating from the headboard and the bedside lamp didn't work (bulb was good). Bathroom shows signs of water damage. Shower head was so corroded that barely any water came out. Bathroom sink drained very slowly. Only good thing was the bed was soft. 2 double rooms has issues as well. All 4 beds were hard, bathrooms had water damage and some mold. One AC unit was very noisy and the other barely worked. Both needed cleaning. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and overall it is an okay stay and it is clean but the property is in need of repairs. The restaurant is great! I really hope they put the effort into fixing the issues because it is a nice place.

Dirty

The kitchen in the room was filthy. The cutlery drawer was full of smears of food. The counter hadn’t been wiped behind the coffee pot. The tv wouldn’t work and there was no one at the front desk to help all night so we couldn’t access the tv at all. There was a sofa bed but had no sheets for it so my daughter had to sleep on a stained up mattress and used towels as a blanket.
