My stay was excellent. Rooms aren’t fancy but are clean and comfortable. The room I was in was quiet and thank you to the front end attendant who assigned that room to me. The check in & out service was fast. Free breakfast was great with lots to choose from. No complaints. I would stay there again. Shirley

came with my family 4 person: 2 adults 2 kids.. room with 2 king beds. took $10 more for the room, since my son is over 17 years old. why? the rooms are dirty, the walls are sticky, garbage is everywhere. near the hotel there are garbage cans. the stench is impossible. in the room it is terribly hot. the air conditioner is buzzing so much that you can't hear what you are saying. For that money I rented much better hotels in more expensive cities. I don't recommend it.

Nothing was open on Monday evening to have supper. Downtown was a ghost town. Breakfast in the morning was very limited, not topped up at all. Couple of pieces of bread, one flavor of jam…. Switched the coffee pot myself as both were empty. Not much wiped down around the food area. A food inspector would have a field day. Tables to eat at also not wiped down. Rooms were clean enough but small and had to request for enough towels as there were only enough for 3 people.

The room was filthy. Absolutely filthy. Bed sheets had human hair on them, floor was gritty and filthy on bare feet, the bathroom smelled strong of mildew, the lights were covered in dust, chair was covered in dust. When we asked the manager for clean sheets he came into our room and said 'what did you expect?'. Yes, it's a 2 star property, but one of few options in Drumheller and it was $206 for one night!!!!! I expect at the minimum, sheets that don't look like they haven't been changed in weeks and a manager that treats clients with respect instead of mocking.

The beds are terrible. Small lumpy pillows. We were given a non-smoking room but when we walked in, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. When we brought it to the attention of front desk, he accused us of smoking in the room and creating a story to not get fined. As the night went on, we realized the ac unit was pumping the smoke in from people smoking outside. (We had a corner unit with the staff room underneath.) I woke up with a borderline migraine and terrible body pain. Thankfully there’s a pharmacy right next door where I could get some medicine, or else we wouldn’t have been able to continue our journey home. Would not recommend.

Barely Better Than Sleeping in the Car

This motel was essentially just a place to sleep…and not a great one at that. On our last day, we discovered a large gap under the AC unit, which explained the bugs in the room. At first, we feared roaches, but they turned out to be maple bugs. One bug kept us up our entire first night, disappearing behind a loose bathroom board. If there had been other hotels available, we would have left the next morning. Check-in was fine, though the staff weren’t especially friendly. Our room was located down a dim, unsettling hallway that made my kids uncomfortable. The floors felt dirty, and my feet were blackened from walking barefoot. The bathroom floor was soft and squishy, the hair dryer was dusty, there was no tub plug for bathing kids, and water stains dotted the walls. A random bobby pin on the sink suggested cleaning was not thorough. The surrounding area also felt a bit sketchy, with people openly smoking cannabis near the entrance and its smell drifting into our room through the AC gap. Overall, it was marginally better than sleeping in our vehicle, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
