It is a good location. It was quiet and I really liked the feeling of history . We were well looked after by Goufer ( not sure of spelling), and Constance.

totally worth booking
This hotel provides what most of 5-star hotels in Dubai cannot - flawless service of cheerful and helpful personnel, tasty breakfast, unique interior design, quiet neighborhood, metro station in less than a minute walk. İt was quite pleasant stay, probably gonna book again

Exotic room in an authentically Arabic building located in an older part of Dubai, this hotel was superb! The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. This was a delightful hotel.

Character hotel - walk to souks
Wonderful decor - lots of character - the stay became an experience. a few minutes walk to the Souks, the Abra boat or the metro. The staff were just lovely. Great air conditioning. A super restaurant right next door.

The night staff is super helpful. However, the lady during the day is not. The first day we were there, she literally rolled her eyes when we pay the hotel fee with a bigger bill. When asking for restaurant recommendation, she was super curt. She also didn't mention that we need to leave the key to get the room cleaned so we didn't have the room clean both days we were there. Other than that, the space is beautiful and room was comfortable even though it was super hot outside. Good location to explore the souk.

What I love about this hotel is that it gives me an experience of old UAE. The location is perfect--the souks and public transportation are close. The staff are the best, especially Mr. Salman and the lady who ensures we are looked after during breakfasts (I apologise her name slipped my memory)--they really are the heart and soul of the establishment. The only thing I can think of that needs improving is the hotel's bathroom in that it needs to be renovated.

Ahmedia Heritage Guest House
This hotel is at a wonderful location close to souqs and metro link, abras and walking. The staff were excellent and tried in every way possible to help us. The breakfast is substantial and more than met our needs. Alena also offered to make omelets for us in addition to the usual presentation. The beds are comfortable, the room well laid out, and there was plenty of hot water for the shower. This hotel is off the main street and requires a little walking from the nearest taxi access (maybe 75 meters). Once we got our bearings in this location, we were grateful for the seclusion and relatively quiet location. The bedding and towels were of fine quality. This is not an upscale chain hotel; it's a guesthouse and we appreciated the intimacy.

Most convenient location close to all amenities.
Initially difficult to find and even more difficult to get suitcase from the taxi to the reception. Once you have managed the moving in process, the rest is pretty straight forward. Good lay out, great service and very accommodating staff. Breakfast a fair variety and again staff willing to create selection of different egg dishes.

Nice hotel close to souks
We were moved to another room as soon as we said beds are very hard. staff are so friendly and helpful it made our stay there a lovely experience. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Close to souks and shopping areas but not to far from airport or beaches either. Plenty taxis but walking was a lovely experience of meeting people and seeing so much.

The hotel is located slightly on the inside street where you have to walk and go but the hotel staff is cooperative and took us to the hotel. Since I am a pure vegetarian they especially cooked breakfast according to my needs and served me ensuring that I don't remain hungry. Very near to gold souk and creek.

Convenient and atmospheric hotel but room felt bud
Location is convenient and next to heritage landmarks, common areas are nicely designed, but rooms are spread across two buildings (involving walking outside the hotel in public) and the room I had looked and felt more like a cheap budget hotel with old furniture and quite spartan rather than a heritage hotel. Old does not mean heritage... XVA Hotel which I stayed at also did it better - it was more atmospheric.

If you want a taste of life in Dubai before international architects and upmarket hotels took over, the Ahmedia Heritage Guest House is just right. It has a homey feel, with all the important comforts, including a nice bathroom ensuite, and lots of charm.

So glad we stayed here!
We found this hotel to be very relaxing and charming. It was not perfect and polished and at times, facilities were in the process of being fixed. However, we did not want to stay in a perfect hotel, but in one that represented the area it is located in and this hotel certainly met that requirement. The hotel is located in a lively, commercial area, where people are busy going about their daily working lives. We found this fascinating and much more interesting than being situated in the more sterile, albeit luxurious hotels that modern Dubai offers. The location of the hotel also means that you can easily walk around the area of Deira and its souks. It also means that you can easily catch the river bus to Bur Dubai and the metro is a short walk away. Breakfast was suitable and whilst not a fantastic spread, it kept the "wolf from the door" and enabled us to start each day not having to worry about where to fuel up beforehand. The staff were very helpful and were a pleasure to meet. We felt safe at all times whilst staying at the hotel and whilst travelling around Dubai itself.

Great Guest House In Dubai
In traveling to Dubai, my husband and I wanted to stay in a local guest house, rather than a large hotel. We chose Ahmedia Guest House based on reviews on Trip Advisor. The experience couldn't have been more pleasant. The night manager Bhawani Singh was one of the most gracious and helpful hosts we have ever stayed with. Every effort was made to assure we had a pleasant stay. We had an early morning flight and Mr. Singh was kind enough to bring a beautiful breakfast to our room before we left. The guest house was arranged and decorated in a very traditional style that was unlike the usual carbon copy rooms of hotels. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Ahmedia to any one that wanted a small, intimated place to stay in Dubai.
