Nice hotel, shame about the pool.
The hotel was in a good position, but extremely busy traffic just outside. Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. The bedroom was very spacious and the housekeeping was excellent. The downside to the hotel was the pool area. Most of the sun beds were never in the sun and the pool was only in the sun for about 90 mins to 2 hours in the day due to the building next door shading the area. It was a shame and for this reason we would not visit again.

Location wise it’s good if you’re not planning to take a taxi anywhere else. Roads were always so busy and sat in long queues of traffic to reach hotel every evening. Balcony door was so stiff, VERY difficult to open. Room was nice, bed was comfy. Staff not great, had to make requests multiple times to receive items (such as water and extra coffee, and they only bought decaf) Enquired about breakfast but all 3 people on reception didn’t know the answer. Also be careful when ordering taxis, the hotel quoted us a crazy price and insisted this was best price due to heavy traffic but we ordered through an app for waaaay cheaper. Overall it’s ok. Not what I would call 5*, a little run down and not great staff.

Stayed at the JA Ocean View for a family holiday in October. Location in the JBR area was great. Room was a good size with balcony overlooking the beach. Would stay again when visiting DXB.

Had an amazing stay at JA Ocean View, All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my sons birthday during our stay and they upgraded our room and left him a nice cake on his birthday. I loved the location along the main walk on JBR, food outlets and the beach at your doorstep.

Lovely hotel and staff. Really clean. Enjoyed our stay. Frequently used the lovely pool, which was busy at times but never felt overcrowded, always enough loungers. Staff very attentive. Busy area around the hotel, lots of places yo eat and shop within walking distance. Very close to beach, where we could see the sunset in the evening. Only thing would say & this is nothing against the hotel, was getting to and from the hotel at certain times of the day by taxi often took quite a bit of time due to traffic in the area.

Walking distance to the beach but the beach it is very crowded especially evening time. Otherwise it is very good area , walkable plenty of restaurants and shops.
