Tv connection very poor. Tried to watch BBC for the U.S. Presidential elections but no sound at all. No coffee and milk/creamer provided for reason of sustainability. Yet shower tap is dysfunctional. Takes a long while and lots of water wasted before the required water temperature is attained. Long wait at checkout just to get the tourism tax invoice which I had asked for at check in but was told to collect at check out. Counter staff were rather slow in their work and engaging in small talk with pax while keeping me waiting behind. Only 2 bottles of water in the room. Insufficient. No bedroom slippers and bathrobe provided.

The staff were really nice and the rooms were clean but plain. The hotel sits between the Mall of the Emirates and the Marina but in a non-tourist neighbourhood. It was very close to the Metro, which was fantastic for getting around town easily, quickly and cheaply. We did half-board which was a good option for saving some money and it meant we could have breakfast and either lunch or dinner at the hotel based off our plans for the day.

A nice hotel in a good location to get to everywhere else in Dubai. Only downside is, as a VIP access member, I didn’t receive any benefits. Hotel could do with a little renovation in the rooms too - a little dated and worn.

Such a bad experience, never again !
The first thing the most important for me in an hôtel is the cleanness. Here at Novotel Al Barsha, the carpet is spotted almost everywhere, in the corridors and in the rooms. You cannot put a feet on the floor without walking on dirty spots... When you arrive at the hôtel, the doors are dirty, not cleaned all day long... It was for me an extremely bad experience.

I couldn't think that a Novotel could be in such an uncleanness situation. Spots everywhere on the carpets in the room and in the corridors. Entrance door glass of the hotel dirty.... Very average food for breakfast. Such a bad experience, never again !!!

First time in Dubai and I was amazed! Nice hotel, very good location ( walking: metro 5 min away, mall 15 min away, grocery store 2 min!) The staff was super friendly, smiled and engaged with me everyday and night! The buffet options were varied and tasty. Overall experience was great! Shower floor overspills to bathroom area, TV sound erratic due to poor connection (per technician), safe box unable to lock (was fixed then happened again the next day so technician had to visit room again to fix. So inconvenient I had to remain in the room to wait for the repair to be done. No coffee and creamer provided cos the hotel was Plastic free?? Absurd.

I requested a room with a big window or some sunlight for the first room I got had neither and there was water dripping in the bathroom. The gentleman of the front office immediately moved me to another room which was smaller and again without fresh Sunlight. Next morning the young lady at the front desk did me the best favour possible and gave me a room which had fresh sunlight and in fact a wonderful view
