Serving staff at breakfast area need some training to make this facility feel like Taj. Service was a bit lackluster. Second day of our stay, we had to place our order three times with three separate servers to get our hot breakfast. No big deal, but felt like not up to Taj level of service. Food tasted ok. Nothing to complain. Other than the above, all other staff were excellent and attentive. Hotel is in a good location. Very clean and felt luxurious Close to Dubai mall and Burg Khalifa (we walked back to hotel after dinner). Free Shuttle to Dubai mall every hour until 9pm. Several high rise buildings under construction around but did not hear any noise while at hotel. Front desk staff were very accommodating. Our request for late checkout was immediately accommodated, However, we did not have to use this and checked out early. Overall an awesome hotel with excellent staff. A little bit of management’s attention to quality and building maintenance would make this hotel on par with rest of the Taj properties

Although close to Dubai Mall, etc. patrons should know that Dubai is not pedestrian friendly. Check your walking route in advance to avoid the fine for crossing the road immediately outside the hotel. Only use crosswalks, which are some distance from the hotel.

The welcome on arrival was superb. We arrived early and our room was available. We had an upgrade to a room with a view of the Burj Khalifa. All of the staff were friendly and wanted to help. The location was excellent as walkable to Dubai Mall and fountains. We also made use of the free shuttle bus. The facilities at the hotel were amazing. We used the gym, spa and pool. Paul and his team at the pool were brilliant- moving sun beds to the sun for us. The breakfast arrangements were excellent. A huge range on offer with excellent service from all staff. The Eloquent Elephant was a welcome watering hole with a lively atmosphere and attentive staff. We discovered the Treehouse rooftop bar one evening. Fantastic views at sunset for a pre dinner drink. Overall The Taj was a fabulous experience where nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Our welcome at the Taj Dubai was very friendly. We were created with a ceremonial rose petal and candle blessing for good health and energy and given a traditional welcome beaded necklace. Our room was not ready and we were given an upgraded room on a higher floor with the view of the Burj Kahlifa. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff is very accommodating ! Will stay there again!
