Nice clean hotel. Location is perfect and easy to get around. The breakfast is lacking, you’re better off going to eat somewhere else for $25 euros. Needs improvement. Overall great stay.

Air Conditioning turns off in the night

This is a very well done hotel overall. Apart from the cooling, the rooms are comfortable and my room (428) had a nice view and was quiet. However, it seemed like the air conditioning was one of those that checks for people in the room, because it turned off when I went out (fine) and during the night (not fine). The windows do not open, so the air conditioning is very much needed to keep the room cool. Having it turn off overnight led to a poor night's sleep.

Enjoyed but not accommodating

Check in quite slow. Had to provide a preauthorisarion although the room had already been paid for. I wasn't allowed check in until this was paid. Embarrassing on the day as I wasn't paid as had to ask a family member to borrow the funds. Terms and Conditions said that the hotel reserve the right to charge and I kindly asked if they could agree to waive the preauthorisarion as they had my card details on file but was told, no!

Loved the vantage of my double sided corner room - and the non-elite vibe in the surrounding neighbourhood, shops and cafes. The mood music in lifts and lobbies could benefit by reflecting the diversity of the guests and Aloft’s friendly staff.
