Very nice hotel on the north side of Dublin and a short drive to the airport that avoids the traffic of the central city. We stayed one night before flying home. Lots of restaurants and a nice park for kids (Griffith) all walkable. Parking was very easy and the bar/restaurant was good for a relaxing nightcap.

Clean and spacious rooms.

Our family room was clean and spacious. It was well-equipped, although we only had a fan when others in our party had air-con in their room. The reception and house-keeping staff were polite and helpful. The restaurant was disappointing - lack of food and clean crockery at breakfast and some poor customer service from some of the restaurant staff let the hotel experience down a bit. Considering we paid extra for the breakfast, it was very poor but at least we only paid for the one day breakfast, although I was overcharged for that. However, this was rectified when I pointed it out to the manger.

when we go to any events in Croke park we always say at the Skylon.This is the second time this Year we have stayed and its always excellent.We are booked to return In January 26 and hope to book for July when dates become avaiable.

Although I made a mistake using hotels com, and made two of the same reservations that the ai didn't catch, and no realistic method to get a refund from the hotels.ai website, ... It was the people at the SKYLON HOTEL that answered my email right away! And cleaned up my reservation mess. Timing is everything. Rockstars all of them!

Great service and location

We arrived to the hotel shortly after flying in to Dublin and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. It really made the start of our holiday wonderful. The room had great amenities and it was completely silent the whole time. The location is perfect near many sights and great pubs. We actually walked to Temple Bar from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to visitors.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely stay at the Skylon. The effort the team put into the Robbie balloon in the lounge was a lovely touch. The room was a fab size, beds very comfortable- but the room was very, very warm. I’d imagine on a cooler day this wouldn’t have been an issue. Our room did have a fuse box that hummed constantly suspect isolated to just our room. Not sure if this is maybe faulty. Breakfast team all efficient, welcoming & accommodating. Plenty of options for breakfast. Our room was ready when we checked in a bit earlier which was great. The later check out time was so good meant we had a relaxed breakfast without the rush.

Excellent property an easy public transport or uber into centre, plenty of cafes bars etc around, walking distance to Croke Park, and the hotel was decorated to show the artists/ events on each day.

Staff was wonderful. Room was clean. Only downfall is how hot is was in the room. They did give us a fan but the window only opened a few inches and did not give much of a breeze. I would stay there again
