I didn't mind when the room wasn't ready as we were early,but after other guests had been checked in, I went to reception on time, I was told to give them a minute that they were doing the changeover,(without eye contact) Everything else was great.when checking out the girl was very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay here, but the rooms were very cramped. My wife and I were dancing around each other as we navigated our way across the room. There was hardly any space between the bed (feet area) and the opposite wall. The TV mounted on wall was an accident waiting to happen - The TV edges were at head height and one could bump their heads into it while walking to the table, toilets (especially at night), or when getting up from the bed (say after tying your shoelaces). The property has parking on site, which is great for Dublin.

Definitely Going Back
When I go back to Dublin, I will be sure to stay here the whole time. Skylon is very comfortable, modern and clean. The food at the attached restaurant is very good. There is a bus stop out front that is a 10-15 minute ride to several tourist hot spots (Trinity College, St Patricks, Temple Bar, etc) and there is a Lidl grocery store next door to get snacks and drinks.

What I liked most about the hotel was the efficient way in which the reception staff of the day attended to our request for a room change. What I liked the least were the poor conditions of the first room that was assigned to us that did not correspond at all to the price paid.
