This was a hostel priced like a luxury hotel. The balcony door was broken and there was no ventilation in the washroom. We had to ask for a fan. Everything cost extra, in-spite of the price we paid to stay. Also the noise from the bar downstairs carried on well into the night.

Claustro triple bunk bed

It was fine but those triple bunk beds are claustrophobic and I would hit my head often. It was also difficult getting out without hitting my back off the roof of my bunk. Staff were lovely

Ok but could be better

The staff was super nice, however we needed to pay for our towels (4 eur) and the cleanliness of the bathroom and the room was ok… nothing more. I think this hostel needs an update. I have been in hostels before but this one didn’t even have a fridge to keep our food nor a kitchen to cook.. which is a purpose for a hostel I believe. The location is amazing though..: tram, bus, restaurants, etc. were super close.

Location and value

Clean, confortable, electrical appliances on bed, Men washroom/shower separate from Women washroom/shower, fan in the room, 24hrs reception, good location at 20 minutes walk to Temple Pubs, at 50 meters from tram and buses, across a supermarket, safe neighborhood. The only issue was the last night we had twice fire alarm and we evacuated the building, but we had little communication from staff if it was safe to return to the building.

The location is fine, but it is quite loud at night. The Generator is trying to walk the line between a hotel and a hostel. We thought we were getting a hotel. We paid $290 for a tiny room with the worst and thinnest mattresses I’ve ever slept on. The pillows are not much thicker than a pancake. The room did not have any tissue or a bar of soap. Check out time is an hour earlier than every hotel I’ve ever stayed in. No on-site parking so we had to pay 18 euros per night for a parkade a block away.
