In an ideal position for my many meetings. Close to Dart and lots of restaurants.
Room was compact and cleverly designed. Shower was excellent. Check in was great snd staff professional and helpful.
Wasn’t sure what the hotel was going to be like, at check in the receptionist wasn’t the most welcoming but she warmed up by the end of the check in.
Once we got to the room I noticed the rubbish can full so it wasn’t emptied from the last people but the room was very clean apart from that.
Nicely decorated and comfortable sleep.
Location is great close to everything
Had breakfast in the bar the next morning, staff very nice and very reasonably priced.
Bar is very big and spacious and can see the history of the building by the way it’s decorated.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but I would definitely stay again.
Clean room. Quiet as we asked for the top floor. The bar is very busy. Prices at bar are really good. Really close to temple bar area and bus stop that will get you to the airport.
We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel. Excellent staff and loved the setting of the accommodation and pub integrating the old chapel and convent. Especially enjoyed the interaction with Patricia who went out of her way to take time to explain the history of the buildings integrated into the hotel.

Only 1 pillow
TV wouldn’t turn down past a certain point so was too loud
Being roadside Windows were sash, traffic and people could be heard well into the small hours…
Asked for a late check out and was refused
I’d stay here again but ask for a room away from the roadside
I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great, lots of restaurants, shopping and sights around. The staff was friendly. I just recommend keeping the window closed at night as since its a college town the pub below has noise in the courtyard.
Disappointed that after receiving confirmation that they had received my request for twin beds, to then arrive late in the evening to find that it was a double bed. Although they did solve the issue the next day. Sadly other family members including a wheelchair user did not have their requests met either.
Property was massive !
Rooms were lovely & facilities too ..
Only thing I didn’t like was that I booked two identical rooms on the same booking - but we were put in two different parts of the building
as a family travelling together it would have been nice to have been closer, other than that it was fine.
We really loved the charm and decor of Keavan's Port Hotel. But something that really stood out to us was that upon checking in, the receptionist not only escorted us up the lift and all the way to our room, but helped take a suitcase too! Love the old-fashioned service and friendliness!
