I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago & loved it(newer hotel/breakfast included with our stay), but it’s looking a little worse for wear, especially in the bathrooms(grout in floor needs to be cleaned/bleached or repainted & sealed), doors of the bathroom have paint peeling on them & carpets have stains in the rooms. Just time for some maintenance/uogrades. Otherwise, wonderfully accommodating/friendly staff & fantastic location!

Lost touring time due to hotel mistake!
Emailed months in advance that we were staying on after a tour and asked to stay in the same room. Worked for first leg of the trip but not the last. Lost 1/2 day of tour time having to pack and move. Manager on duty was not helpful at all - we were very disappointed. Rooms were very warm and it was hard to get them cooled off. We had a wonderfully helpful woman in the restaurant.

The room was very clean, and the bathroom was in excellent condition with a strong shower stream. However, the beds were on the smaller side and not as comfortable as expected. Area is excellent - walking distance to the center and main attractions.

Myself, my husband & our toddler really enjoyed our stay with the Maldron hotel on Kevin st. The staff was very friendly & helpful, the breakfast was amazing, the room featured a beautiful view of the cathedral & was very quiet at night. Room service was very quick with a great menu. The cathedrals, Stephen’s green park & the shops are a quick walk away. Thank you Maldron hotel for hosting us during our family holiday to Dublin!

Comfort and Convenience
Room was roomy and quaint. We did have a street facing window so it was a little noisy but we knew this going in and it didn’t bother us. The only downside was that there is no ventilation in the bathroom so it starts to smell a little like mildew if you don’t leave the bathroom door open. Not a big deal to us since it happens at other hotels as well. Otherwise the hotel is pretty close to all majors attractions and locations within Dublin.

Great location for walking in Dublin! Close to Temple Bar, Guinness Storehouse, Trinity college, Kilmainham Goal, St. Patrick’s Cathedral andGrafton and Oxford streets. Full Irish breakfast was excellent. Really appreciated the kettle and biscuits in the room. Staff friendly and helpful.

Pros: convienent location to many of Dublin’s attractions, decent room size, fairly quiet hotel except for traffic Cons: lack of service from staff - I tried twice to get directions/support from the front desk; both times I was met with confused looks. Once I asked for best bus route to take and other time I needed them to call me a taxi but all they could offer was pre-booking one for another day. The room was a bit too dirty for me- not sure if that’s just aging or lack of cleaning but the shower was stained yellow with mold in the grout, tile it paper holder was half out of the wall, lots of peeling paint and dusty corners. Also my window was broken so I got a lot of road noise as it wouldn’t seal shut. All in all for the price; there are better options in the area.

I wish the front staff knew a little more about the city and had offered recommendations or a map (that we saw they had behind their desk on the day we were leaving) when we asked them. Regardless of how many plans we have, we still like to ask hotel staff and their own suggestions. So that was disappointing. Otherwise though!!! It was really great. Clean room; great view; good breakfast; amazing neighbourhood; etc. I would definitely recommend!
