Been using this hotel for nearly 14 years and now they’ve decided to start charging for overnight car parking? I don’t mind the hotel, it more than serves a purpose for me, but I’ll stop staying if the car parking charge continues

hotel room was small, with a double and single bed. For a solo traveler, this is unnecessary. The windows need sever updating. Room overlooks the Newland's Cross flyover, so could hear all traffic, without opening the window. Opening a window for fresh air (ish) and the room door rattles loudly. Bathroom door? cannot open fully as the toilet prevents that. Although I was able to rest my head on the toilet paper holder that's on the back of the bathroom door. Few times banged my head on the towel rack in bathroom due to it's position. Outside bedroom, tiny corridor, through that and a step ladder hanging from the roof for a 3rd of my stay, first day had no warning signs.

Property in poor conditions. They need a make over and update. Breakfast is really good. Staff member at the front desk are not very savy. Staff members at the restaurant are better help than the front desk. Had to ask for an extra fan and the fan was filthy. Don’t recommend.

Overall not a bad hotel
I have stayed in Maldron Hotels before and on the whole found them to be quite good. This was pretty much the same. The service was ok, not fantastic, the food in the restaurant very nice albeit limited choice, and the rooms were comfy and clean. First time I have had to pay for parking at a Maldron and considering it isnt city central was a bit cheeky (and expensive) Overall, not a bad stay
