The location for music and nightlife is perfect. The hotel is very nice, the rooms clean and large and the bed was really comfortable.

Poor Room - false advertising
I did not receive the room I booked and was charged extra for it. 1. booked a standard double room, paid extra for same and received a Pod Room. reception confirmed same - therefore I expect a refund on the difference ! 2. carpet is rotting along the bathroom wall, smell of mould and must. carpet ripped and coming apart 3. view from the window is of refuse dumped approx 3 feet from the window, couldn't leave window open for fear of rodents coming in - pics . 4. the bathroom is not the bathroom for the room I booked. i specifically wanted a shower, not a shower over a bath! 5. half of the TV channels did not work - uk tv channels not working ! Not worth €350 euros, the Hotels.com website is falsely advertising rooms at this hotel for a higher price - this is illegal and misleading to guests. I do expect that I recieve a refund for the overcharge and for the poor quality room and misleading service that was sold to me.

We had a quadruple room, so the room size was awesome for downtown Dublin. The room was well appointed and close to everything we wanted to do.

I stayed at this hotel in 2020 with my husband and had a wonderful time- unfortunately this year taking my father and brother was not the same experience. Had to be moved rooms, water shut off during the stay, early check in fee was more than I paid for the one night stay.

Breakfast included in our Expedia stay was great. The hotel was in a very convenient location to bars, restaurants, bus stops, attractions. The hotel carpeting in our room looked stained and the “amenities” of the game room was more for adults and kids could not be down there after 8pm and it was very “bar” feeling. The family rooms we had, 1 had a roll away twin bed and the other had a box spring and mattress on the floor and it showed the boxspring and it was dirty. I’m from the US and accustomed to very nice hotels so it was an ok stay and I’d consider staying again if it was a good rate but would probably look for a more upscale hotel next time.

The Temple Bar Hotel is very convenient to the Temple Bar nightlife and major sightseeing attractions like Trinity College and Dublin Castle. There is also a Tesco across the street which makes it convenient to pick up water and snacks. The front desk staff is helpful and easy to work with. However, the hotel actually feels more like a 3 star hotel and not the price point that is charged. The bathroom was not clean. Our sink had a crack and some stains that were just gross. The bathtub had some dark stains that you would expect to see at property of this cost. Also, our room had a "courtyard view". The courtyard was the air condition units and discarded construction items (basically garbage)! I was thankful to have a window though.

Not the best experience. Was told our room was ready when we phoned, only to be told it wasn't when we arrived. However, the staff offered us another room that was ready which we appreciated. We accepted, only to be given a room with a bathroom door that didn't close properly/had to be slammed to be shut. We advised the front desk of this problem but nothing was solved until the manager got involved. He gave us a new room and was beyond helpful. He is the only reason my review has managed a three star rating. This could have just been a series of unfortunate events for us, but this wouldn't be a place I'd choose to stay again.
