Spacious clean apartment

Zonar Zagreb is a nice hotel. The concept is definitely eclectic and borders on “weird,” but we’re not ones to judge that, and we actually enjoyed that aspect of the hotel. We also really enjoyed the gym, and the bed was comfortable. That said, there were a few hiccups during our stay. Upon arrival, we noticed that the room had only one towel, no bath/shower mat, and there was no conditioner or soap available either in the shower or at the sink. We called reception, and the towel issue was resolved fairly quickly. However, the soap was only provided the following day, despite us arriving around 3 PM, while the conditioner was never provided at all. Another reason we chose this hotel was the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was reserved for a large group from 3 PM to 9 PM on both days of our stay. On top of that, the music from the event continued loudly well beyond those hours. This was disappointing, especially since access to the pool was one of the factors we considered when booking the hotel. The pool water was also extremely cold, as it is not heated, which made it difficult to enjoy even when the pool was available. Overall, we didn't dislike the hotel, particularly the comfortable bed, gym, and unique design, but the room-service oversights and limited pool access significantly affected our experience. As a result, we would hesitate to recommend this hotel. N.B: it is relatively far from Zagreb's historical center but we knew that so that is on us.

When we get there we found out that they have shut down a/c and even fan. They said it was due to maintenance but later we heard it was down for season. At checkout, manager compensated my parking fee and that was a great gesture. We had to open window and that made it for a noisy night and finally we manage to fall asleep past 4:00 am for couple hours. Tram noise, garbage truck pickup after midnight and drunk passerby’s noise were loud. Our room was all against the road. Later realized there were other rooms where windows open to inside yard. Quality of bedding and cleanliness were excellent. Staff in general were great. Excellent Breakfast and crew were great. Parking was provided

Property is in little retro style rooms, quite at night, staff so helpful, last three years visited this location, fully recommended.

Luciza (spelling?) at reception helped us with both of our stays there. She is exceptional! The breakfast is outstanding. I think the massage is not as good as we had anticipated. It was the only disappointing thing there.

Decent breakfast included, pleasant staff… especially nice bar staff. The only thing is, the standard for cleaning the rooms need to be higher .
