I really liked this little property and would stay here again. The staff was helpful and rooms clean. Breakfast buffet was outstanding and we enjoyed 2 sunset dinners on the hotel deck. The bus was convenient across the street from the hotel and delivered us to the Pile Gate . Overall pleased with the value of this property.

Nice hotel but was very disappointed to discover that we had to pay an extortionate amount of money to rent sun loungers at the hotel beach area. The hotel was not cheap this should have been included. There was no natural shade either so if you don’t pay you are forced to sit in full sunlight on hard concrete.

I had 2 nights there and had to change due to size restrictions for the 2nd room. The hotel refused to cancel my room even with one night penalty, even though they were sold out and peak season. It was a non refundable booking but due to the circumstances they could have atleast refunded one night. They went by the rule book. So be careful about booking a non refundable room with these guys. I am very unhappy.

Had a family gathering between transits at this location. Convenient to the center city and lots of dining options within close proximity. Breakfast and lunch on their veranda was a pleasant experience. Fantastic views. Highly recommended.

Personnel agréable et à l'écoute. La vue sur les îles est magnifique, encore plus au coucher du soleil depuis la terrasse de la chamvre. Cela compense largement le fait que l'hôtel soit un peu vieillissant. Le resto qui donne sur la plage bénéficie d'un emplacement top ! Endroit calme pour profiter et se reposer.

Nice stay

Pleasant stay at Splendid. Staff all very polite and helpful. Accomodation clean but a bit dated. Good air con and comfortable bed. Access to beach for swimming can be very busy with lots of locals swimming after work. It’s a very rock beaches and uneven underfoot so be careful getting in and out. Breakfast good. Bus in and out of town ( number 4 ) stop close.

We had a great stay at Hotel Splendid in Lapad. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, comfortable, and has a great location. The AC is old but works well. The view from the balcony and the lush greenery around the hotel made it a peaceful place to relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One of the best parts was the easy beach access right in front of the hotel, with a ladder into the water—no need to walk on sharp rocks. The bus stop is right outside, and Line 4 takes you directly to Old Dubrovnik with no transfers, much cheaper and easier than Bolt or Uber. Tap water is drinkable too. Some downsides: the beach is public and could get crowded and noisy, especially with kids. Beach chairs are expensive (30€ for 2 chairs and an umbrella), so we often used natural shade when it was available (they also have 2 canopy beds that are free, but rarely available). The king size bed in the bedroom had only a small double comforter, though staff provided a second one when asked. Only two electrical plugs in the room, both far from the bed. Also, the shower soap smelled strongly like men’s aftershave and the vanity shelf was broken. Tip: buy drinks and snacks at the supermarket 4–5 minute walk away—much cheaper than the beach bar. Overall, not a luxury hotel, but the location, bus acess, beach access, balcony view, and friendly staff make it worth it. We’d definitely stay again.
