Cute hotel, lovely stay

This place had the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. The view of the lake was great and the hotel room was quiet. They lock the doors at night because Duluth can be a little sketchy late at night, but that’s commentary for the city, not the hotel, and I appreciate their efforts to keep people safe. I wish we had stayed for longer.

We loved our stay at the Hampton. We had 2 adults and 2 kids and an infant. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of offerings. The view of the lake from our room the morning was awesome. They were doing some updating in the hallways it looked like, but the property was clean all around. It was very clear that the sheets were clean as they smelled faintly of bleach, but I was more than ok with that. My only gripe was we were in room 141 and the central air unit was right outside of our room and it made a very loud noise for a few minutes every couple of hours. I did let staff know as we left.

We enjoyed the local brewery nearby... very unique. We loved walking around the downtown area, the pier and the bridge. So cool to see the big ships coming in. Within the hotel, we enjoyed the gym, pool and excellent breakfast. Room was comfortable, quiet and bathroom was very nice.
