I stayed in a non view balcony room. Smallish room but the balcony was a nice bonus. Everything you touch is spotless and you sense the property is well cared for and managed. Fair prices mid week as compared to others in Canal Park though you run the risk of getting “bridged”.

I love this place ! Unique in that it is right by the bridge. You just walk over for eating, shopping and things to do. Get to watch the bridge. If you are in a hurry , you may get caught by the bridge being lifted, but that is a minor inconvenience.

The view of the bridge was awesome! We liked that we were within walking distance of the canal and many places were just across the bridge.

Cool location being right on the water and beneath the lift bridge. Not quite as convenient as other hotels in Canal Park, but a rather short walk. Room was nice - clean and bed was comfy. Free continental breakfast was OK. Not great...not lousy. Rated as "good" vs. "excellent" based on how expensive it was. I realize prices in this area are high, but then the expectations are high, as well. Would stay there again.

SHIPS CALLING - CREATURE COMFORT

If you love ships, this place is for you. We got two calls the night we stayed. One pretty big and other ENORMOUS! We enjoyed the hot tub, king bed was very soft, Tv in 101 above fireplace had volume all way up and couldnt hear it even with room sillent. Thank goodness there was a TV in the bedroom. Never figured out remotes, or how to stream a movie. So that wasnt great. Other than that it was a beautiful room, free cookies for guests, and SHIPS!!!! WOW, We didnt get much sleep as the front desk, if you ask, will call telling you a ships coming in, or leaving. The massive size is extraordinary and quite a rush. You have a small deck and we watched ships from there. Room 101, my new fave hotel stay, and need more than 1 night! GREAT QUALITY, CLEAN, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT A BIT ON THE SPENDY SIDE! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!! Janine Taft spring vacation!!

Excellent room! Fantastic view! Ammenities were great! Only 2 downfalls... was a little pricey but not outrageous and the bed was horrible. Hardly slept for 2 nights we were there. It was extremely saggy in the middle and way too soft. But all in all, still a great trip!
