I went out of the hotel early in the morning (5:45) and there was someone sitting on the steps inside the entrance to the hotel, shooting up. I felt nervous walking past him and wondered if he would follow me out. I was nervous going back in wondering if he would still be there. No hotel staff or anyone else was around.

We always enjoy staying at this property. The rooms are clean and fresh with fluffy towels. The beds have a variety of pillows to chose from to insure a wonderful nights rest. The large rooms make it feel as if you're in your own apartment. The suites have full-size frig, dishwasher, microwave, and stovetop make our stay so easy and efficient. Having access to kitchen supplies come in handy when we need a plate or paper towels etc. Canal Park is so easily walkable we have a wonderful time finding new sights, things to do, or places to eat.

Check-in went so quickly and easily. Friendly staff. Rooms were very clean and nice and beds were very comfortable. Lots of places to eat within a short walking distance. Breakfast was great, though a suggestion would be to put the wafflemakers towards the end of the line as it created a backup of people waiting at the beginning of the line. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff shortages cause disaster

Got there at 4:00. Room was not ready, “be a few minutes.” 2 hours and 20 minutes later they still were not able to estimate a ready time. “Many of the cleaning staff did not show up.” Expedia chat was helpful getting the room cancelled, but I had problems at the front desk getting them to confirm the cancellation and that I would not be billed. A real mess.

No sheets/blanket/pillow for the sofa house a bed. Mattress was filthy and stained along with food crumbs and long black hairs. Unacceptable for anyone. Housekeeping never looked at it. Took pictures.

Pretty quiet place , I rarely heard neighbors ! Good AC and little kitchenette, there were little things they forgot about like starting the dishwasher of dishes prior to us and the pool was closed our whole four day stay but other than that very convenient location able to walk everywhere for the most part !

Property was clean overall. I was quite worried as I booked prior to reading reviews that stated the lobby smelled like urine. I don’t think the lobby smelled like urine but rather smelled like beer. There is a bar located across the hall so maybe that is where the smell came from. Overall it was tolerable. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a living room and pull out couch. We had to request linens for the couch but they brought it up to us so no big deal. Kitchen appeared well stocked. Our room felt stuffy and hot, tried to adjust the temp and it did not help. The second day maintenance came and showed us what we did wrong. This improved the temp but later in the evening it was hot/stuffy again. Bathroom was clean enough but someone else’s hair was on the floor in the corner so not super clean. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was standard with many average hotel like options. We would stay there again as the price was right. It is a remodeled warehouse so a bit odd however I liked the way they reworked it. We did not use the pool but it looked average and in good condition. Location is perfect with many food options nearby and walking distance to canel park.
