As soon as we walked in the door we felt very welcome. The front desk staff were both extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our room was clean and comfortable. Had very delicious meals in the restaurant. Breakfast is a great deal for guests and I would advise you make a reservation for dinner as it is a very popular spot for the locals - with good reason, food was excellent! The wait staff are very attentive and friendly, Highly recommend this hotel, away from the congestion of Glasgow but close enough to commute.

Nice Hotel .. had been updated nicely ... lovely bathroom and shower. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean. The resturant had excellent meals. Breakfast was lovely.

We were met by the manager of the Abbotsford hotel almost immediately and he generously welcomed us and made us feel welcome. Although the building may appear older on the outside, the inside is up to date and comfortable. We had drinks in the bar(relaxing as we listened to locals chew the fat) and then dinner which was very good. The menu is diverse and reasonable. If ever in the area again, I’d stay here.

The staff were wonderful. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I was there for a funeral and coming back to the hotel after some stressful days was very comforting. The food in the restaurant was excellent. My adorable waitress, Jane, said I hope you come back in happier circumstance. I hope so too!

Comfortable but needs some tweaks.

Hotel has its flaws and has it's positives. Cannot fault the staff. Staff are amazing. Really friendly and make you smile. Food seems to be microwaved. Comes out as fast as you say your order and it boiling hot. Rooms are dated but comfortable, dust was falling out of the vent in the bathroom which is something you don't need whilst brushing your teeth. The over lay and cushions on the bed were stained. Lovely touch with the biscuits.
